We visit Sarasota several times a year and we always dine at Dolce Italia when we are in town. This week we were able to dine there twice, and both times the meal was superb. The first night we had the pappardelle with sausage and linguine seafood. My wife asked for extra spice on the linguine and it was done to perfection. My pappardelle was homemade, the sauce delicate, and the sausage, sliced thin, was the perfect complement. Last night we had chicken cacciatore and grouper livornese, preceded by a pizza appetizer. The pizza was the best I have ever eaten. The entrees were equally good. The ingredients were highest quality, the sauces outstanding and the portions large. I can't wait to go back.
We peeked in the window of their new address on Gateway Drive (they move October 1) and the new quarters will add a beautiful ambience to the already incomparable Italian food.
