A local bakery with a fairly good selection of traditional Mexican food. Bring your Spanish translation app. English isn't a strong suit but the food is. :)

Went by a review in the Herald, and was very pleased we went. Pretty much have to know it is here to find it............hidden in a small strip center at Beneva and Webber. Grocery store and a restaurant. Different from the other Latino markets in town that have the taco stand as an after-thought. This is a full service Mexican restaurant, with nice tables, atmosphere, and a full menu. They have traditional Mexican dishes....sopes, huaraches, chilaques, tortas, and tacos, as well as pizza and burgers (do folks really go to a Mexican restaurant for pizza??)
We split a cheese quesadilla to start. Excellent...........very fresh tortillas, and the cheese was excellent. My wife had the beef tacos. She grew up in Mexico, so knows the real deal..........and, says this was excellent.
I had the seafood stew..............lots of shrimp and vegetables, in a very spicy soup, served with tortillas. Good, but probably not the best choice. And, I think $10 is overpriced for this dish.
Atmosphere was very nice, and the service was excellent.
I imagine their bakery is top notch as well, judging by the continuous line off folks taking bakery goods to go. Also has a full grocery store with a meat market.
Nice spot. We'll be back.

A fascinating place especially if you are not Mexican. A little store and for some reason a wide variety and large quantities of ethnic pasties. I go in with a friend after a morning work out and reward myself with the best evert heavous rancheros. A basket of chips and salsa at z9 in the morning also is different.

This place has the best and most authentic hispanic food in all of sarasota! My friends and I try to come here every week because the price for these amazing dishes are unbelievable. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and they always provide great service. The portion of the food is plenty and the additional bakery just perfects it.

Love this place, from the food to the prices; they also have a bakery which I visit quiet often. The huevos rancheros are always a must for breakfast! and the owners are the nicest people around!
