Recently my husband and I plus our two children stayed here for four nights at the end of August. As most people are no longer traveling once school is back in and almost back in, the hotel was really quiet. We stayed in a top floor room at the end of the building away from the elevator and had zero problem with noise. On our last night, the Friday of the September long weekend, suddenly the hotel was full of people. Still, we had no problem with noise. This most likely our lucky location, though, thank goodness!
The room was mostly clean - I want to say about as clean as a hotel room can be, albeit for a stain on the carpet and on the top blanket of one of our beds which was quickly rectified by the front desk. Speaking of the front desk, Judy in particular was extremely sweet and kind to us, as was another female employee who was young with blond hair pulled back in a ponytail. One day she was at front desk and another she was working in the breakfast area. Fantastic customer service attitude in this hotel.
Breakfast was decent - typical, but the nice thing is they have not gone cheap on what they offer! The orange juice WAS orange juice, not watered down. Name brand oatmeal and cereal packets available. Etc.
We stayed here as our base for a beach vacation, and had no problems visiting Siesta Key. It really was a quick drive. We also headed south to Caspersen Beach, finding the drive no problem, but when visiting Anna Maria Island, the traffic was a bit much.
There are many options to eat near the hotel - Subway, MacDonald's, Chick-fil-a, Dunkin' Donuts, Buffalo Wild Wings. A Walmart is not far north either. Walgreens is next to the hotel, and many gas stations are right there, too.
Overall, a very good stay, and we would definitely return if visiting the beaches in the area again.
