We started with the complimentary Smoked Mullet dip - very good. She ordered the Fried Oysters, 13 perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside but still slightly soft on the inside. I ordered the Create Your Own dinner with 2 pieces of Fried Grouper and 6 Fried Oysters, both were cooked to perfections. I'm a bit of a cole slaw snob but I liked the Cole Slaw. I'm pretty sure it is made in house. We liked the Smoked Mullet Spread I just had to purchase some to take home with us. Be warned that the place is very popular so try to go slighly off rush hours. During the season, December - March there might be quite a long wait for a table.

Walls is a Sarasota icon. I have been going there harkening back to my days with the White Sox in the 70s when the restaurant was on 301.
The sox have moved and so has Walts but they still offer some of the best seafood in town. We always rely on the staff to tell us what's fresh. We settled on the grouper this time with some fresh oysters to start. Crab cakes were a great addition. Great atmosphere and service
Be sure to go back during Stone Crab season- some of the best in town.

Enjoyed a nice family dinner after a long day on the beach. I had the Sarasota Seafood Sampler which had flounder, a deviled crab cake, scallops, shrimp, a hush puppy and a conch fritter with fries and cole slaw. All of it was very good and ended up being a very large meal. Also had the gator bites with a sweet and sour plum sauce for an appetizer which was delicious also.

My favorite lunch spot. Busy at times and often a wait but worth it. Fish is fresh and cooked just right. Drinks are well made - read have booze in them not water and ice that came into contact with a liquor bottle at some point. The place is VERY casual but the food comes out hot and service is friendly. I had broiled shrimp this last time and 2 sides came with it for $16. My son had the gator and it wAS more than he could eat - I have never seen that happen before. Good portions, good food, good drinks serviced fresh and not fancy. I like it!
