Our family of 4 - which includes 2 older teen boys arrived the day after Christmas for our time together through New Years. We have been visiting seaside since the boys used training wheels so we have experienced both good and bad houses... gimme shelter is a good house. The kitchen was well appointed with nearly new pots and pans and everything a good vacation kitchen needs. Dishwasher is small though so be prepared for some hand washing. Bathrooms are very nice and outdoor spaces are relaxing. Good spot at seaside with a direct sandypath to the west Ruskin pavilion once you find it. Seaside is among my most favorite places in the world and our stay at Gimme Shelter was another great place to share happy family memories.
I keep thinking of the line, "A clean, well-lighted place." This cottage emanates good vibes. The dramatic two-story windows allow amazing light; I paused a few moments each day just to take in the view of the beautiful garden and trees. Lovely, well-kept, with up-to-date bath and kitchen fixtures (a must-have for me). Unique, artistic decor. The bedrooms are cozy but very comfortable. Highly recommend for a couples getaway or small family.
