Enjoy the beauty in God's nature and the life of a place that is undisturbed by industrialization. Bring your camera and find what beauty can be observed in the wildlife.

“Really neat place.”

Lots of walking nature trails. Very informative tram ride with guide. Learn lots of things about Florida, native animals and birds, flowers and vegetation, etc. Saw mother alligators and babies.

“Florida at its primitive best”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

As the sign at the entrance of the park proudly proclaims, this is the REAL Florida, the way it was long before Disney World, reptile farms and tourist traps. There are at least three vastly different eco-systems thriving within the park. The tram ride is a must see, but tickets sell out early. The oldest (and I think biggest) oak tree in the state is the focal point of one of the trails. If there is only limited time for taking trails, make sure you take the boardwalk built above the swamp, where wildlife of every kind lives in abundance.

“Loved it!”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

This was a great park! The staff and campers were all happy and helpful. My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights and loved it. Pros: Beautiful, friendly, educational, affordable, and a ton of wildlife. While we were there we were lucky enough to see deer, alligators, armadillos, turtles, raccoons, and a fox squirrel. The ccc museum is very nice and free! I would say the cons are that the park was very crowded, the campsites were very close together, and it didn't quiet down till about midnight. The trails are a little short for my taste but were nice anyway (bring your bike!). Besides that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

PS: The tram ride is totally worth the $5!
