“Very quaint”
Review of Tea Room at Lake Sebring - CLOSED

We arrived at the hotel a little late, and wanted to get a bite to eat at a nice non-chain spot. We were directed to the tea room in miniscule historical downtown. The place is really old fashion Florida, nothing is a straight line, there are a lot of age and charm. The food was delicious, the owner very acommodating. My only pet peeve was the tablecloth was soiled. Perhaps because it was the very end of their day. Otherwise is a great place to eat and shop.

What a lovely place, decorated so beautifully in a great location overlooking a lake. At Christmas the owner decorates each room beautifully and on top of all that the food is great.

I was here with a group of over 50 ladies, and it was perfect! The decor is exactly what you would expect from a tea room, from the piano background music (soft, understated), to the lace doilies on the table. Served from white wicker carts, the food was a delight to the eyes as well as the taste buds. A view of the lake was a bonus. I cannot rate the service highly enough........... considerate, helpful, yet unobtrusive. Perfect place for a ladies' luncheon! Do go there! I highly recommend!

We literally stumbled onto a lovely 9-hole executive golf course as we were exploring the Sebring area and found the most unique tea room run by the wife of the owner of this small quaint resort. She had not missed a detail in decorating this large tea room - right to the table linens and the tea-related decor (napkin rings, salt and pepper shakers, etc). The floor to ceiling French doors offered up a magnificent view of Lake Sebring, the gardens, the dock leading to the gazebo. To top it off, the ladies serving wore long colourful skirts and reminded us of southern belles. Each meal was elegantly presented and so tasty complete with beverage and mini dessert. The difficulty came in choosing which mouth-watering menu item to enjoy, and every lunch costs the same - $15 complete! This is southern hospitality at its best! And to think we found it in Sebring!
