Booked for a dinner. When I first walked in I had a hotel California moment.
Don't let the looks and interior deter you.
The family that ran it were lovely. Very down to earth and comfortable to be around.
The food was not spectacular as it is simple home cooked meals. We both had the burgers. Great prices. Good simple food. The relish was amazing and all is home made.
Would go back and support this local family again.

Lots of delicious food from substantial to light and also a variety of gift-ware for those looking to take away memories.

Again this was another of the great little places we found quite by accident during our time in Tasmania. We were in search of breakfast having taken the early ferry to explore Bruny Island for the day and tried to find another cafe [ closed] so ended up here and we were pleased we did. The owners was friendly and despite not opening on Mondays she allowed us to come in and have breakfast. As this is a very busy period she had been open and serving many meals during the previous weeks and had decided to have the first day off for a while but still had to be here to accept deliveries etc for the cafe - we were in luck to find her here waiting for a delivery. Many locals and regular holiday makers stopped by during our time and ordered take away coffees etc. The breakfast was home cooked style and very filling - we had the big breakfast, a bacon&egg roll and bacon/ mushroom/ tomato breakfast. All 3 were delicious and fresh and plentiful. The coffee/ tea was good also. We were made to feel welcome and not a problem for lobbing up! Even better we discovered the owner to be a Brisbane Lions fan and memorabilia on show!
