We visited the Siesta Key beach during our recent trip to Sarasota.

It doesn't get any better.....sand like white flour and miles of flat beach for easy walking. Also if you get a chance, I heard that the sunsets there are amazing.

It is easily the #1 beach in the States!

One day a week this beach features a drumming session by local's who want to show off there talents and artistic views, it was a nice close to an evening on Siesta Key, we checked out the public beach a couple times, its nice,.... where we stayed allowed us to walk there from our private resort on the beach as well, the only draw back to this place is parking, you could end up circling the parking lot for an hour or two if you arrive later in the day, its a good suggestion to wake up Early, for the best parking... but beyond that I think overall a good 4 out of 5 star rating!

Quite a wide beach with lots of space. Great beach for walking, lots of shells to collect.
They serve a variety of food and frosty beverages at the snack bar.
Parking is free.

Beautiful, pristine white sand as soft as flour! Wide beaches are amazing and Siesta Key still has the feel of Old Florida

We went to Orlando for Magic Kingdom and one day we drove 2hrs to Siesta beach. Based on reviews I had high hopes and everything turned out to be great. Easy to get to, lots of parking on Wednesday on 5/7, perfect white sand, small waves, nice green water. We stayed there for maybe 4hrs, which was perfect for 4 and 6 year old. Sunset was nice for pictures. Would recommend it to anyone.Next time I would stay on the west Florida's coast and drive one day to Magic Kingdom.
