“One of the best beaches in America!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

Lot's of white sand, water, clear water - other than the parking - what's not to like? Get there early and stay the day - we had one of those tent like things that offers great protection from the sun. Best $70 I ever spent!

“Went for volleyball tourney”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

Parking is difficult but for a good reason.. Beach is huge (several hundred yards wide) very white and nicely packed.. There are tons of volleyball courts and lots of Palm trees around for shade. Very festive w plenty of music from aspiring djs being cranked for all to enjoy; nice aromas from the wood fire grills in the picnic area. My wife loved the fact that unlike the east coast beaches one can walk very far into the water without the dramatic drop off.

“I'll go back just for the sand! ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014 via mobile

After reading all the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor, I visited Siesta Key beach with my teenage granddaughter and her friend today. I've never been to a beach that I didn't think was beautiful, so it didn't win a prize in that respect. HOWEVER, the sand was all that is cracked up to be. It actually felt rather cool! I think Siesta beach is especially outstanding for young families since young children can walk on the sand easily, make great sandcastles - and the concession stands and restrooms aren't too far from the water. Chairs and umbrellas are available to rent as well.
The only downside for me was the parking. It took me at least 45 minutes rolling up and down the parking aisles (which I found out were one way). Probably earlier in the day or a beach day through the week would have been a better choice for our visit.

“Definitely a top 10 beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014 via mobile

Beautiful white sand that feels like walking on powder. Even on a very hot day, the sand is cool. The beach is huge, never crowded and the sunsets are spectacular
