“Small Plate Heaven”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

My husband and I shared a series of small plates and were extremely pleased with the quality of the food and the service. One of the most unique and interesting meals I have ever had, with every dish a new (and delicious) adventure. Even the plantains, normally a humble dish, were a high point. The wine list was varied and we found plenty of good selections and reasonable prices.

Not what we had expected to find in a small stripmall along a Florida beach road => which, of course, made it even more charming. There isn't much I would come back for in Siesta Key, but Javier's might be worth the trip. One of the best meals I've ever had.

“Don't miss this restaurant!!!”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

It sure is easy to pass by this restaurant since it is hidden in the back of a strip center. We decided to try it based on reviews that we read on Trip Advisor and didn't even realize that it was across the street from where we were staying It was fabulous! We went twice and both meals were excellent. We tried a Peruvian variation of both a seafood Paella and Frutti di Mare over pasta and both were fabulous. We were particularly pleased with the freshness of the vegetables and the attention to subtle flavors overall.

It was a pleasure to meet Javier who was genuine and friendly. Watching him as he continually looked over the entire dining room was really interesting. You could see that he was observing every detail to make sure that everyone was being taken care of properly. A true professional.

“Must visit ”
Reviewed 17 April 2014 via mobile

Great meal with great service. Food seemed authentic yet within reach of most. I enjoyed my beef tip stew, my eleven year old had duck over rice and my nine year old had a great filet mignon. Deserts were fun as well. This is a must visit!

“Unassuming”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

From the outside, this restaurant was unassuming. We decided to take a closer look, and it turned out to be awesome. We ordered a 4-course tapas meal for $26. The service was excellent, one of the servers offered to take a picture of us when he saw us trying to take a selfie. We enjoyed the ceviche, BBQ ribs, and chocolate desserts. I loved the salad (lemon parmesan dressing).

“Fine tapas dining”
Reviewed 29 March 2014

We we're looking for a casual moderately priced bistro/tapas style restaurant this fir the bill perfectly. The cerviche was excellent as was the corvina . Very nice reasonably priced wine list too we thought the server was polite & professional. Save room for the tableside bananas foster. It was a bonus that they had 3 reasonably priced port wines with dessert.
