“Absolutely loved this place!!!!”
Reviewed 8 April 2014 via mobile

My husband and I wanted to take a little long weekend trip just ti get a way and actually have our long awaited honeymoon. We set out with no reservations and just stumbled soon the Tropical Breeze Resort. They were very great to us and got us a room for the weekend. It is walking distance to everything you may possibly need. No car needed once you get there. It was such a great place...we are looking at our calendar to get something booked for next year. I will have to say that Siesta Key Beach was the best beach we have visited in Florida so far. I love the funky colors of the resort. It was prefect for what we were looking for. I can't wait to come back!! Oh, I almost forgot to mention how reasonable the prices were. They have better rates than some of the hotels off the island. So great deal for the price definitely! !!

The following review is my stream of thought from a dad's perspective as I remember our time at the "breeze" so I apologize for randomness. We stayed at the tropical breeze in room 107. A great little room with a separate bedroom and full kitchen. We stayed with 3 adults( my wife and her sister) and our 1 year old son. Out second time staying here. The resort provided a portacrib for us which was well used but did the job. Our room was small but comfortable.

Our housekeeper Bianca did a great job to make our stay really nice. She worked around the babies nap times to keep out room clean and provided good conversation and a great attitude as well.

The rooms are also well soundproofed during a few baby tantrums at 4am. The neighbors never heard a thing. Good coffee in the mornings at the front desk as well. One of the best things about this place is the location, 2 minute walk into Siesta Village and 5 minute walk to the great beach. I did it a number of times carrying the baby and it was fine. You will not find a better value vs location on the key. I'm my opinion the beach access on this end is quieter and better than the big public beach at crescent beach with more shells to find in the early morning.

I give this place 4/5 circles and it would be give of not for the following things. Some may be nit picky but need to be said so that they may be corrected in the future... Hopefully. It need to be said as well that we will definetly be coming back and staying here because we like it so here goes:

1. Noisy clicking AC unit but it
works well so...

2. The screen doors banged loudly every time anyone came in and out. Us, neighbors, cleaning people... Woke our baby up a number of times if the front door was open.

2. Privacy when on our patio. It would have been nice to have separation between the screened in patios to give the feeling of privacy. A wall or something instead of just a screen.

3. The fan in the bathroom needs a cleaning as well as the blades of the ceiling fans... Super dusty and gross. Other than that our room was very clean.

4. Kitchen needs a pizza cutter!!!

5. A high chair...

5.front desk staff was not very friendly at times. One girl in particular. On out check in day we were told that we could have a late checkout at 1200 due to baby needing a nap in the morning and were told that it wouldn't be a problem and when the time came to check out we were told that we were unable to get a late checkout. No nap + a day of traveling + 4 hour layover at NY lagaurdia = crabby infant.

All in all a pleasant stay and we will be back. None of the 'complaints' were deal breakers and this is still the best place on the key. Thanks TBR.

Thank you for your continued patronage at the Tropical Breeze Resort. We appreciate your comments and truly appreciate your recent return. I have forwarded your comments on to Bianca, our maintenance team (in regards to the screens & doors) and to the front desk as well. Sometimes it's very difficult to accommodate late check outs as we are preparing for arrivals who are also requesting early check-ins, but I am truly sorry that the baby was unable to get their nap before a full day of travel. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts on TripAdvisor. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to your return!

Great location, no 'big hotel' impersonal feeling, excellent location, lots of stuff within walking distance including one of the most beautiful beaches.
Several pools, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff.

the hotel has rooms spread out on few locations and we got a nice one next to the heated pool, great. the room was small but clean and nice, however with very noisy air condition unit. there was a common area with kitchen and dining room, nice, clean and big. the staff was nice and helpful. great location close to the beach and the village with many restaurants and shops. the breakfast was poor with some cakes, juice and coffe. we got good price with use of travel-save coupon. would stay here again!

Room Tip: room 141 in the pink house was small and with noisy air-condition.

We loved our stay at the Tropical Breeze Resort. EVERYONE treated us as if we were valued guests and part of their family! The beach was a short walk down the street (we were in Unit #111) and they provide beach towels and chairs at no cost. The rooms are basic but super clean, and ours had a full size fridge with a large closet. the only negative was the a/c, which was a wall unit that blew directly onto (my side!!!) of the bed as it clicked on and off. We will definitely be back and stay here. It is an IDEAL location and we walked to all the restaurants and bars and ice cream shops nearby! Reserved parking is a plus in this busy area!! P.S. The King bed was heavenly :))))

Great location, 1/4 mile from beach 1/4 mile from village. Our room was tiny but very functional, mini fridge was handy, continental breakfast was a packaged muffin and OJ.
"Resort" is certainly a stretch, but for the price and location I could stay here again.

It is all about location here on Siesta Key. We really have the best location at the Tropical Breeze Resort, nestled in between the beach and the village. I am glad that you found the accommodations to your liking, maybe you would like to try one of our 1 bedroom suites on your next visit. It will give you a lot more space with a living room and full kitchen. But really, who wants to cook much on vacation when there is such a wide variety of restaurants within walking distance? Thank you for sharing your thoughts, we hope to see you again soon!

We stayed in a cute little free-standing cottage across street from the beach and it was very, very clean and comfortable, great wifi, nice little kitchen with a big fridge and everything you need for "vacation" cooking, two TV's, ceiling fans, very beach-y . The resort is really a conglomeration of different types of units, ranging from motel to individual cottages and a 2-br beach house. There is a small pool but we didn't use it and you won't either - if it's nice enough to swim, you'll be on the beach. It would be very difficult to find a nicer beach than Crescent Beach on SK.

The location is perfect. It's in a peaceful area between the village and the beach. You can walk everywhere in the village - restaurants, bars, shopping. Practically on the beach. Great off-street parking in front of your unit.

Management was so helpful - we were having some friends over for a beach get-together on Saturday night and if you know SK, you know parking is at a premium. The owners gave us FIVE guest parking passes so our friends could park right there at our place next to the beach. Also, on the last day, we needed extra time in the room and since no one was coming in right after us, they let us stay way past the 11am checkout time late into the afternoon with no extra charge.

We used to live here. If you are looking for a luxurious hotel on the beach in SK, it doesn't exist (except possibly for the new Hyatt timeshare which is expensive and not as well located). This is the best place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the cottages near the beach.
