We loved staying here. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The heated pool was great as was nice not to worry about towels or beach chairs (they provided them). This time the kids were not with us, but the place seemed very kid friendly. We stay in Siesta Key ever year, but never here and never in March. Perfect place for a quick get-away. We will be back.

We had a great stay at Tropical Beach! The room was very large and comfortable and would have been great for an extended stay. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need while on vacation. It's a very short walk to the beach which was somewhat secluded being near the end of the beach. Besides the beach their were multiple little outside sitting areas to hang out and still enjoy being outdoors without being on the beach. Overall it was a great experience!

We are a family of 5, with 3 little ones ages 4, 2 and 5 months. We had a wonderful stay at Tropical Shores Resort this past weekend! The king bed was the most comfortable bed my husband and I have ever slept on at any hotel in our lives (and we are very frequent travelers...our 4 and 2 year old kids logged 26,000 airline miles in 2013!). The pull out couch was very comfortable for our kids. The resort supplied a well-kept clean pack n play with a comfy sheet and blanket (though we didn't use blanket) for our 5 month old. Another major bonus of our room was the kitchen with full-size fridge, stove, cooktop, microwave and coffee-maker. Plenty of utensils, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, wineglasses and champagne glasses in the room. This resort obviously places great emphasis on comfort and convenience. On top of all that, the room we were in seemed very recently renovated, done with great taste. Other big bonuses: the pools are heated, they have fun shuffle board and cornhole games on the property (amongnst others), they provide innummerable DVDs in the registration office to check out, they provide sunglasses and water guns for kids, they are a short walk to many fun restaurants. I could go on and on! Bottom line, this is an awesome resort and I highly recommend!!!

This was my second stay at this hotel. Both times it did not let me down. The rooms are equipped with all the basics for cooking and are clean and quite spacious. There are grills available if you want to BBQ. There are couple of places to eat within walking distance. Although the hotel is not right on the sand, the beach is only couple of minutes away. There are chairs and umbrellas available for rent. It is a private beach so there are not too many people there. The hotel is not a big building but a cluster of smaller ones which make it quaint and cute.
A good place to go as a couple, friends or family with kids. The sand is perfect and the water is nice. You can see dolphins at sunset and it's very romantic.

Very helpful and congenial staff. Our room was very large with a very comfortable king sized bed. The room had been newly renovated, with a nice kitchen with stainless appliances. No water view but we knew that before we went. The beach is beautiful and not very crowded considering we were there during the busiest time of year. A short path takes you to the bay - and we enjoyed strolling down there with guests from our (and surrounding hotels) with our filled glasses, to enjoy the sunset!

Room Tip: Restaurants and stores within walking distance.

Just spent 5 nights at TSR on Siesta Key. Great location, just south of the traffic mess at the bridge to Sarasota. Restaurants, bars & groceries are within walking distance. TSR isn't technically on the beach but it's a very short walk. Beach chairs (nice touch) & towels for the asking. Nice grounds with a pool even though there are many properties packed together. Nice modern clean quiet room with a full kitchen. Very friendly staff. The "almost"? Extremely small bathroom (but very nice). Limited closet space. No private outdoor space with the room (Sorry, I don't like relaxing with a glass of wine by a parking lot). Here's the best recommendation I can give any property: we'd go back & without hesitation.

This property is just lovely. We stayed in the sundeck studio room and we were very pleased. The staff was great, very helpful with any questions you had or any requests. The beach is just a few steps away and the sand is just as described. So soft and just like sugar. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Sundeck room was perfect because the deck was there for your use and the room was upgraded and very...
