“This is a motel with a small pool!”
Reviewed 17 April 2014 via mobile

After reading the other reviews of this place, I'm wondering if these other people stayed here. Yes, the staff is pretty nice and the beach is not far away but this is a glorified motel, not a resort. I paid $350 per night for a tiny little room with a kitchenette. One window had a view of my car and the other (That is ground level and doesn't lock) has a view of a wall. My complements to their photographer. This looked really good on the internet. If you can get this for $150 per night, it might be a good deal but don't get duped like I did into thinking it was something special.

Great place to stay if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation by the beach. It's a little bit away from Siesta Key Village where all the restaurants are but that's a good thing because it's really quiet and there's a free car service that can take you to the "village." A tiki bar in the resort would be cool, there's one down the block but I found them to be rude. All in all, great accommodations, would stay there again.

Had a wonderful vacation at Tropical Beach Resorts. It was our first time in Siesta Key. We selected this resort due to the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisors. Resort was quaint. We stayed at the Tropical Sun -only one story. Office staff was very helpful. Accommodations very nice! Walk to beach was 3-4 minutes along a path of tropical plants. Loved the white, powdery beach; sand is amazing. We rented an umbrella and 2 lounge chairs at beach for week- $100, which was charged back to our room. Had access to two pools - both very nice. For restaurants, Captain Curt's has the best clam chowder and it's a short walk from resort. If you like shopping, visit the circle at Lido Beach, plus there are many restaurants like the Venezia -
best pizza ever.

This property was perfect! Our room was VERY clean, the property had any amenity you would want and the employees went WAY BEYOND the usual to make our stay perfect (SO NICE)!!!! Everything was within walking distance.

Room Tip: We stayed in the King Suite with a pull-out bed.

I have been coming to Siesta Key since 1970 and have always stayed at my parents place which is very close to the resort. I loved the resort and it's amenities. It is very tropical with many palm trees and unique birds. We stayed in a one bedroom suite that was very nice and modern with plenty of room. There are beach chairs, boogy boards, towels and sand toys for use at the beach which made it very convenient. The resort staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. We arrived earlier than check in and the staff pointed us to a parking spot and showed us around the resort. We were able to put our suits on in the changing room and head right to the beach. I will definitely stay here again and will tells others about this "gem".

They also provided fresh coffee, lemonade and cookies all day long. They have hundreds of new dvd's for use and even sell sun tan lotion so you don't have to leave the resort. The resort is within very close walking distance to fun restaurants, drug store, gift shops, pizza place, package liquor and convenience store. There is also a bike rental company nearby.

There is a tiki type covered cabana for use that has a large table, bar type of area and gas grills for use. Perfect for throwing a party or grilling out for a large family. Free wi-fi with good reception.

Room Tip: We stayed in a one bedroom suite. It was across the street from the office on the second floor. It...

We were so pleasantly surprised not knowing what to expect. From the time we arrived on property everything was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful tropical grounds and the room was beyond our expectations, extremely clean, well equipped and the king bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. I cannot wait to return !

This was our fourth trip to Tropical Shores Beach Resort/Sara Sea and we are already looking forward to our next stay. Tucked away, beautifully landscaped, exceptionally clean, peaceful, excellent customer service provided by office staff and housekeeping. This resort does not cater to "spring breakers", rather the mature adult or family, which is one of the many reasons we love this place. Kitchen is well equipped and the beds and pillows are like heaven. Walking distance to a few restaurants, but far enough away from the Village and public beach to avoid the hustle and bustle. Grounds, pools and gas grills are clean and very well maintained. Steps away from the breathtaking Crescent Beach. Beach towels and chairs provided. Just an overall great place to stay! If you like to relax, this is the place for you!
