This restaurant had been recommended by the owners of the property we are renting.Service was excellent and food good if a little on the pricey side.

It was great. The location is a little off the beaten path but the food, wine and atmosphere was great. Oh, not to mention that the food portions were more than the average sizes. We truly enjoyed our visit.

The food was absolutely delicious. The variety and innovative menu was very welcoming and everyone in our party enjoyed their food. While the food was delicious, the atmosphere was extremely hectic and unorganized. The front desk staff were extremely overwhelmed and we were sat almost 45 minutes after our reservation. The atmosphere was far from romantic as servers were running around also seemingly overwhelmed. While our server was extremely pleasant and friendly, she consistently forgot requests and at times was nowhere to be found. This restaurant would be perfect if the service was improved as the food is delicious.

My husband and I were spending a couple of days on Siesta Key and we were looking to dine at restaurants that would give us a memorable experience. When we arrived at Ophelia's we were greeted by Les who picked a perfect table for us on the lower deck right next to the water. We were promptly greeted by our server,Michael, who provided excellent service and greatly contributed to our memorable evening. We started our meal with crab cakes (I was reluctant because I do not like crab, but my husband insisted that I would like them). They were full of lump crab meat, perfectly seared and seasoned, served on top of the best fried green tomatoes that I have ever eaten. For my entree I ordered the bacon wrapped pork chop which was moist and flavorful. It was accompanied by stuffing and a butternut squash puree that were both tasty as well.
My husband ordered the scallops which he said were fresh and seared to perfection. For dessert we ordered the pecan tart that was absolutely heaven in my mouth. A delightful buttery
crust with carmelized pecans, fresh whipped cream, and fresh berries. We thouroghly enjoyed our meal and the excellent personal service provided by Michael. The next night we dined at Michael's on East and while the food was great there as well, the service and atmosphere at Ophelia's made the trip to Siesta Key
memorable.

We went there last night for my birthday and was very impressed. Cocktails etc were terrific and the food was wonderful, I had read the reviews and was pleasantly surprised that they were correct! We had the crab cakes to start and had the swordfish, oh, just wonderful. I can highly recommend this restaurant. My only negative comment would be, the bar is a little small and the building is a little "tired", however, the food, drinks and staff certainly make up for that. Thx again to the bar tender for my birthday "fizz", cheers x
