Enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean, area safe. Walk to beach was incredibly close, the beach is fantastic. There are several similar hotels on this small street leading to the beach which share a pool, all looked comparable from the outside. There is a nearby Publix, go there for your $12 beach chair and groceries, less expensive than Crescent Beach Grocery and much less than the $20 per day chairs are rented for on the beach. The only really bad thing was the construction noise from the complex next door, trucks backing up (beep beep beep) early in morning. No big deal, just get up early and go sleep on the beach.

Although we saw what our room would look like on their website, we were unsure given our prior experience with beach hotels. Our room was exactly as shown in the picture. It was very clean & seemed to have been recently renovated. The onsite managers were very friendly & helpful. Because we had done some research before we left, we brought our own chairs & umbrellas rather than rent them daily on the beach. We learned this place does have chairs by the office that you can take to the beach. It is a very short walk to the beach & the sand NEVER got too hot to walk on which was amazing!

The pool was very clean as well & had floats available for you to use. The grounds are very well maintained too.

I would definitely stay here again.

We went in search of a clean hotel that was close to the beach and didn't cost too much. That is exactly what we found.

Cleanliness: the room was immaculate, and that actually goes for all of the grounds. That was impressive in its own right, and then we found out how much of the powdery sand sticks to you when you go to the beach and it became even more impressive.

Location: the hotel's web site shows how short the walk to the beach is - it can't be more than 200 yards. In the other direction, it is an easy walk to a 7-11, a drug store, a liquor store, a marina, a mini-supermarket, and Captain Curt's restaurant. We rented a car for the trip and it was about a 5 minute drive to Siesta Key Village, which had several restaurants and bars to choose from.

Service: Check in couldn't have been easier. It was roughly 10 minutes between pulling our car into the parking space and being on the beach. They had beach towels for us to use, and even let us borrow a hair dryer.

Rooms: I rated the rooms a "3" simply because this isn't the Ritz-Carlton - it is a run of the mill hotel room. I feel like a "5" should be for penthouse rooms with multiple bedrooms. But don't take that to mean that I was in any way disappointed - the rooms were everything they were advertised to be.The bet was comfortable, the shower worked perfectly, and we even made use of the blender in the room.

Value: We got a quiet place with a comfortable bed that was walking distance to a perfect beach and every amenity we needed. This hotel is a fantastic value.

Overall, this was one of the more relaxing short vacations I've ever had. The opnly thing I would do differently would be to pony up the $9 to rent an umbrella for the day on the beach. Drinking beer on the beach under an umbrella - now that's a vacation!

This was our first stay at the Conclare but have visited the Sara Sea Circle area on previous occasions. We truly love the lush vegetation which is reminiscent of a tropical oasis. The Conclare is a cute resort that is a great value--reasonable rates for pleasant accommodations. I really appreciated the care and attention given to the guests by the managers Scott and Janie. Just a short walk to the pool(50 yards), beach(100 yards) or restaurants(200-300 yards) enable you to keep the car parked! My wife and I are planning to return next season.

In spite of cooler temps, we had a wonderful time at the Conclare resort. As always,
the beach and sunsets were spectacular. The resort is a very comfortable place to
stay and the upgrades Scott and Janie have made make for a homey atmosphere.
They were extremely helpful during our entire visit. A return visit is definitely in our future plans.

Clean, comfortable affordable rooms at a location that is a conch shell throw from the water. While Siesta Key is suffering a bit of growing pain, that should not be a distraction from the wonderful time you'll have on the beach. A great getaway location while the northerners are shoveling their sidewalks!

The Conclare is a nice, small motel that has been recently renovated. It has all the amenities you would need for a short visit and the owner I dealt with was very pleasant. What the other reviews don't tell you is that there is a humongous Hyatt time share hotel being built on one side and on two other sides there is another time share facility being built. The noise begins at 7 am and doesn't end until early evening. There are construction vehicles everywhere and the trucks, etc. raise up a lot of dust. I tried to speak with one woman and she had to remove her ear plugs for our conversation! When I called to reserve, I said we were looking for a small quiet place. Janie said that's what they were! I'm not sure this quaint place will ever be the same even after the construction.

In addition, the quaint little village of Siesta Key was totally torn up! The streets were full of construction vehicles and the dust was unbelievable. We were unable to walk down several streets because they were closed off. The restaurants said it is killing their businesses. I think it will be lovely in another year after the new improvements, but for now it's not at all pleasant.

I can't believe the other reviewers didn't find the noise and construction mess annoying. I have always followed the advice of this web sites reviewers, but now I have to question their reasoning!
