The hotel is beautiful and staying overnight in the valley is a gorgeous experience. The hotel is up a steep hill from the main town, but it's only 5-10 minutes walk and caused us no problems at all, even at night. The breakfast is lovely and, while the restaurant wasn't open when we stayed this meant we could go and eat at the amazing Cafe Kronio, with whom Argoulias has close ties. The owners of Kronio leant us two bikes for free (from a very limited supply, so not guaranteed) to explore the plateau - so do ask about this at Argoulias if you are interested.
The rooms in Argoulias are lovely and fully stocked for self-catering (and there is a small super market in the town). This was the best value for money of any of the places we stayed and probably the most classy. We were in either room 10 (I think), which was big and lovely with a double and a single bed, but if you can stay in the one next door, the simple double (I think room 9) because it has the best views of the beautiful valley.
