I lived in Thailand for a few months a while back. Ever since returning to the US, I have been pretty consistently disappointed with the Thai food I've found. Most places Americanize their food, or don't even bother trying to use authentic ingredients because they know most Americans don't know the difference. The popular trend in South Florida now are those Thai/sushi places, and those places just make me angry by messing up both the Thai food and the sushi (Thais don't really eat sushi, btw).
Krua Thai is an authentic Thai restaurant. They use real ingredients and the food you get here is just like the food you would find in Thailand. The owner, Ben, is a very nice guy and will do his best to accommodate any special requests. I've eaten-in a couple of times when the service has been a touch slow, but the food is so good, it's worth the wait.
Do yourself a favor and skip the other "Thai" places and eat at a real Thai restaurant.
