Owner description: The mirrored walls of the Tallahassee Automobile Museum enclose more than just automobiles! This 100,000 sf. facility houses cars, trucks and memorabilia of all kinds. In addition to the antique cars, muscle cars, concept cars, and trucks -- check out the eclectic collection of Steinway pianos, Remington sculptures, Case knives, Barbie dolls, boats, boat motors, children's pedal cars, and die-cast toys. Journey through history with Native American artifacts, firearms, antique cash registers, pocket watches, salt-cellars, baby bottles, silver spoons, baseball cards, antique golf balls and clubs, 100-year-old brass-bladed fans, art objects from Thailand, neon signs, stained glass, a horse from a carousel, a children's barber chair shaped like an airplane and much, much more. Part shrine, part history lesson, part pack-rat's paradise, part garage and part art gallery -- except, in this case, the art has four spotless wheels and can go from 0 to 60 faster than a Cezanne can. It's truly an amazing museum of American history.

While this museum does have a collection of antique cars, it is also a strange homage to kitsch, with more teddy bears and knives than vehicles. When we visited we were the only people around save for the dated mannequins standing beside a few cars. Yes, the cars were glorious, but the overall impression I received was that this museum would be better off as a set for a horror movie than a place for families to visit. I left feeling uncomfortable and cheated of the admission fee.

I like all the interesting and unique older cars and the special Batmobile is always a plus with visitors. It's a nice atmosphere, cool and clean and easy access also.

There is a nice collection of cars here, but there is also a collection of outboard motors, old business machines (saw my first calculator that was purchased in the 70's).

Unique old car collection, even has the Bat Mobile. Building is fairly new. Easy access in building & clean. Expansive grounds. Located at the corner of I-10 so easy to find. Owner was going to build a shopping mall but City of Tallahassee wants big $ for permits. This side of town is mostly residential, could really use shopping area. Owner rents grounds for visiting bands & always has a large crowd. Owner collects other things & displays but the cars are in beautiful condition and worthy of a visit.
