“Gross!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2013 via mobile

Made to town and stopped at Tomatoeland, don't waste your time.
Small dirty and no place to eat your sandwich and the male behind the counter is wiping his nose then wanting to take your order so he can make your food.
The smell reminded me of a slaughter house for pork, not very appetizing.

We walked out.

“Just down the block, this unassuming eatery and gourmet store makes the best sandwich in town. BLT, Cuban or fish”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 January 2013

Just down the block, this unassuming eatery and gourmet store makes the best sandwich in town. BLT, Cuban or fish just cannot be out done. Breakfast around $5.00 is terrific too! Cross the gravel lot as you exit and visit the fresh produce stand.

“Friday Fish is worth a trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 January 2013

Tomato Land is a long-standing green grocer's in T'see (i.e. fruit and vegetable stand), much patronized by independent restaurants in the city, which in recent years has taken over the old seafood store next door for prepared foods and takeaways and packaged goods. In addition to good selections of cheese, preserves, Bradley's sausage and the like, they have a breakfast and lunch menu and daily specials. Fridays, they sell fish plates, either white fish ($5.95) or shrimp or oyster (10, $9.95) with two sides and hush puppies, either fried or blackened (sides are always cheese grits and coleslaw; sometimes baked beans and potato salad). Quality and value are both excellent; they close at 6 p.m., 5 on Saturdays, but like orders by 5 p.m. They will need support once Whole Foods opens close by, so keep the best source of fresh fruit and veg alive.
