Whether you fish from the banks or take your boat out on the lake you will have a good time. Fishing from the piers you are likely to catch a lot of catfish. When you take your boat out you are likely to see gators all around you. It is very quite and serene out there. There is camping available at Williams Landing, and the have a fish cleaning station. Makes for a great day out

The sunsets are beautiful. You get to enjoy the wildlife, the breeze, fun place to canoe and fish or just enjoy a picnic.

“Loved It”

Beautiful Place. Saw alligators galore for my first time and squirrels that were not afraid to come close. So quiet and peaceful.

“A great place to view wildlife(primitive hunting only)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2013

A hidden treasure in Tallahassee. With several tracts, you really have to go online and check out each. The North Ochlochonee River tract is in NW Tallahassee off of Stonler Road. Hunting is by schedule and includes musket and bow and arrow. Seldom used and pretty much empty on the week days, this is a great place to take a walk or hike. Bridle paths and forest animals make this a great spot. Vehicles with tags can use the forest roads open to vehicles. Just pull off where you want to be, making sure cars can pass by. Trails abound. Future plans include connecting the North and South tracts which would allow for canoeing down the river and more amenities. Trailer parking is very limited and in the front area only. However there is a power line easement at the entrance I see trailers on (north side only) but there's a gate there so you may want to call in advance for information.
