“Multi million dollar restoration”

It is now the spot in Tallahassee to walk, hear a concert or have a picnic. Check the schedule for concerts in the open air amphitheater or just walking around the park in the fresh air. Safe area for joggers.

“Gem in the City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

What a great little gem in the downtown area of Tallahassee! Beautiful walkways, a splash area, an outdoor performance area, play areas for kids & little tidbits of history. A gorgeous war memorial & a very informative "history walk" about Tallahassee. A visit to Cascades Park is a definite while in Tallahassee!

“Great Park”

I love this park. It is unlike any other park in Tallahassee, with fun for the kids, beautiful walkways and a wonderful music venue. Tallahassee has needed this for a long while.

“Beautiful New Addition to Dowtown Tallahassee”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2014

Love that the park has multiple paths you can take for different levels of exercise, cute splash fountain and play/education area for the kids, outdoor concert arena, water features, etc. Beautiful just before sunset when it finally starts cooling off! :) A must-see in tallahassee, even on the shortest visits! All that's missing is an on-property local eatery!

“106 F and the kids were having so much fun”

What a great place to play on a sunny day, and maybe to even take walks on rainy days. Near the Florida Department of Transportation, with the dome of the old Capitol visible, the park makes use of water features, a staging area, and paths for walkers and areas for bikes too. Free to the public.

While I was there today, there was no available food to purchase, but there are soda machines. It would be a great place for a picnic, or bring your lunchtime carryout fast food here to eat in a pretty spot. It is very hot and sunny but they did think to put in lots of benchs and some of them are in shady spots. It makes an interesting additional place to go for an outdoor experience if you've hiked or jogged around Lake Ella a million times.

Chili's, Olive Garden, Cabo's are a short distance away. Get them to bag it for you and eat it HERE!

There is a building on site that is being gutted and it will become a lovely restaurant someday. Not sure when the expected opening of that is.

There have been noise complaints from nearby residents on nights of concerts. But, I think people should try to understand that a couple of hours of drifting sound gives a lot of concert goers a great experience. Near by residents should try to understand and it certainly won't be happening EVERY night, nor even every weekend.

Overall, this is a great place for locals. The Imagine fountain of bubbling up water was a big hit with kids today! See the pictures I've uploaded.
