Tuesdays you can see a movie that has been out for a just a few weeks for $2.50. Other days the price is $4.50. The theater is quite dated so some of the seats are broken, if not stained but for the low prices, what would you expect? I would suggest not seeing a movie popular with seniors on any Tuesday. Wait a few weeks. The place can get quite crowded. And watch out for the talkative senior ladies. I have had on several occasions to people to stop talking, whether during the movie or the previews. For some viewers, this is a time to get out and socialize, not to watch the feature film.

With the price of movie tickets rising almost monthly, it was nice to visit The Last Picture Show in Tamarac. The price is right!!!! It was a rainy day so catching a movie fit the bill. Our choice, "Battle of the Sexes" had only been out a few weeks and it was already up at the discount theatres. We enjoyed the movie and the theatre. It's well run and maintained for an older theatre. Typical theatre seating...not the recliner seats that the national theatres have recently installed, but for the discount, it's well worth the admission price.

Went to see an afternoon showing and had a pleasant experience. The box office only accepts cash which took me by surprise.
The cinema was large and picture was good. I heard sound from an adjacent cinema from time to time but it didn't really take away too much from my enjoyment of the movie.
If you're close to Tamarac this is a perfectly good alternative to the mainstream multiplexes.

Tamarac’s Cinema 5 is aptly named ‘The Last Picture Show’. Stepping into this theater is like stepping back in time to an era where family and friends could go out to see a movie and not break the bank.

The staff is pleasant and the place is clean.

My favorite day to visit is Tuesday when the prices are even lower. I usually take my grandkids for a double feature on those days, because where else can three people see 2 major motion pictures on the big screen for $15?
