I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE been treated so poorly by ANY hotel I have ever stayed at, as I have by the Tahitian. Discrimination at its FINEST! I feel I was discriminated on because I'm a young woman who travels alone and people have the WRONG idea about me. Due to the surrounding area where there are many strip clubs and prostitution,people assume things of me which are not at all true and I get judged in a bad way!! I'm a bartender and work in a funeral home by day. I stayed at the Tahitian for over seven months(since august 2016 at appx100$ a night on avg,sometimes a little more or less -do the math) and finally checked out yesterday. Im in between housing and have not the best credit and have been forced to stay in a hotel for an extended time due to an eviction. I couldn't work after I had surgery from an accident. I work two jobs and have given this hotel 99.9% of my income.This was the second time in five years ive stayed here for over 6 months because its close to my jobs and I love the pool. This time,however, different people work here including one lady who actually brings her ten year old daughter in to work the front desk along side her. Yes, a child sometimes working the front desk. The front desk managers are rude, condescending, and have a scam running where they overcharge people who pay cash and dont get a receipt. I have saved all of my receipts after I realized what was going on after several instances of things not adding up, they would tell me I owe money or else I wont be allowed to get my stuff out of my room if I do not pay ,after a different front desk person already took my cash and didn't give me a receipt, therefore forcing me to pay AGAIN. When you become a long term guest,the staff makes you think they are your friends ...until a discrepancy over payment occurs, then they talk negatively about me and other guests. This week ,my boss took me to breakfast at the restaurant there and the older waitress Stephanie was EXTREMELY RUDE and disrespectful, all because I wanted to substitute my eggs for oatmeal bc im allergic to eggs. She said that im not allowed to do that(even though I have been doing it with everyone else who waits on me for months) and raised her voice saying whoever she finds doing that for me will get in trouble..yelling at me right infront of my boss, as if I were a child! I simply said I will not come out for breakfast anymore! She then proceeded to BLATANTLY LIE to the manager saying that my boss stayed behind to apologize for my rudeness!!!! He told the manager this was not true. The manager was on a power trip and told the owner of the hotel LIES that I was rude to the waitress and the owner decided to BELIEVE him, sticking up for the waitress ,saying shes his "little angel" and threatened to kick me out!!!! I proceeded to hand him my boss' card, which he seemed to care less about... So after spending approximately$40,000 at this hotel, I have concluded that the customer IS NEVER RIGHT ! I wish I could rewind time and have stayed elsewhere. They have ZERO respect for their regular customers, are rude, housekeeping is EXTREMELY loud from 9 til 4 and you will find things not adding up with your charges for your room and nobody can ever explain why! The pool and bartenders are like an entirely different entity, and all bartenders are great, the hotel however, well I am simply never giving them my money ever again and will continue to tell everyone how terrible the service was,not to mention the place is run by scammers. I SHOULD GET A FULL REFUND!More
