Although this hotel is older, I was very pleased with the service received from the staff.
We purchased the Cruise and snooze package which was well worth the money.
We stayed prior to leaving on our cruise. We were picked up promptly from the airport,
taken promptly to the port and picked up very quickly after wards and taken to the airport.
Good value for your money. Room was clean and included a full kitchen although we came by plane and did not have anything for the fridge. Bahama Breeze next door, nothing else within walking distance.

Only downfall was the bathtub which appeared clean but not so much under the mat.
shower difficult to adjust. Otherwise great bargain.

Very old hotel, not updated. Got a "bay view" room which only really had a view of the bay if you opened the front door. This "two room suite" really had one room and a loft. Shower/tub was moldy. Bed not very comfortable. Everything else was fine. The service was good - we'll give it that. The rate was on the low end compared to other hotels, so I suppose we can't really complain. The area isn't special...nothing around except other hotels. The bay is not that nice. Basically...you get what you pay for.

Sorry but we walked into our rooms, a two storey suite and it was depressing as soon as we opened the doors. It was so dark even with the lights on. Their picture on the website looks fab but our room was not, the view was a brick wall and horried carpark, we asked to change the room but where told it would cost us an other $50 !! We were already going to pay $136, we did see an other room .. smaller by miles and that was dark as well. I booked this hotel via the internet as it looked great. One point in the hotels favour they did not charge us for the room .. We went to the Holiday Inn down the road which I have to say 8/10. Chase suites is dark and depressing.

Wow!! What a true experience when you first get off the airplane and are picked up by
the most friendliest shuttle bus drivers(Tom & Melinda). Then you get to the front desk
and are greeted by the most professional friendly people who just want your stay to be
perfect. I was greeted and helped by Luke and Jason. They made me feel as if I was the
most special person. The suites are like little private cottages right on the bay! And who
would expect a five star carribean restaurant called Bahama Breeze. The food is fabulous the staff and atmosphere are to say the least exceptional.
All I can say is that if you are staying or coming to tampa florida Chase Suites should
be the only place you stay at. In the lobby Monday through Thursday is Happy Hour with free wine,beer and appetizers & Free breakfast in the mornings.
Thank you Luke and Jason for such a wonderful experience and for making me feel so special. I will always come back and stay with you guys. Just asked for Luke and you will get his friendly smile and he WILL do his very best to make YOU feel special!

As some of the previous reviewers have said, the place is a little tired now but it makes up for that by the size of the suites. We stayed for two nights with our two boys and the suite was plenty large enough with a huge king size bed on the mezzanine floor (with its own bathroom) and then a separate king size bedroom downstairs (with ensuite) leading off the living/kitchen area. The staff were helpful and there are two public use computers (free) in the reception area. The location is a little odd and you need a car but we found access to the causeway to be useful when heading out to the Clearwater beaches. Pool is a bit on the small size but good enough for kids to splash about in at the end of a hot day.

I stayes at the Chase Suites with my mother, son and son's friend, both age 11. We chose the 2 bedroom sutie. The room was spacious and very nice, with the 2nd bedroom and bathroom being upstairs. The kitchen is complete and fairly well stocked but we didn't really intend to do a lot of cooking. It was nice to have a microwave and a full sized refrigerator for drinks. The breakfast was very good with lots to choose from. There is coffee available in the lobby at all time which was very nice. The pool was heated and perfect. We also like the deck on the bay, very relaxing. The boys enjoyed the basketball court. We felt safe here and the staff were always friendly and helpful in giving directions, providing necessities, etc. We did have to go to the front desk a few times for items such as shampoo, toilet paper and towels but they were always eager to accommdate us. They also provided helpful tips and information about local eateries, shopping, activities, etc. Bahama Breeze is next door and a nice place to eat. Hotel was easy to find and convenient to and from the airport. It is close to other attractions as well such as Busch Gardens. It is a bit of a drive to the beaches, but not far and a pleasant, scenic drive. Also, there is a computer available for guest use in the lobby, a very nice touch. We were able to check in electronically for our flight home and print all of our boarding passes, which saved a great deal of time and hassle at the airport the morning of our departure. I would caution that anyone staying in the second floor bedroom NOT place items on the ledge. My son and his friend knocked off a bottle of water that hit me in the head as I was sitting on the couch in the living area below. It is a "loft" style room and is open. Caution should be exercised with children and with placing objects on the ledge. We enjoyed our stay and actually thought it felt more like a resort than a hotel. When we arrived, our room that we reserved was already occupied. The hotel gave us a room at no charge for the evening and then made sure we got the room we reserved. The General Manger, Jose Nieves, was very apologetic and could not do enough for us the rest of our stay, What started bad ended up very good.
