Spent three nights here on a business trip. Hotel was clean and room comfortable. I spend about 60 to 70 nights a year in Marriott hotels of which about half is at various Residence Inns. Good points about this hotel is that it was clean, the staff was friendly, and the fitness center was basic but everything actually worked (which is a rarity). My only complaints were with the breakfast. Land of powdered eggs and brown bananas. The coffee was really bad, I don't know how they can not make drinkable coffee. Not up to normal Residence Inn standards which are not particularly exacting.
They also charged me four dollars for an ice cream bar. I bought the same thing at a grocery store a couple of blocks away for a dollar. I guess convenience has a price but I thought this somewhat eggregious.
Aside from the breakfast, this is an ok place to stay but I will probably stay at one of the other Marriott or Hilton properties in the area the next time I go to Tampa.More
