“Super Fun”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

My mother took my boyfriend and I as a christmas gift and I can honestly say that we had a blast. I ended up being the murderer, without paying extra. It is more fun if ou dress up and try to get into it. I suggest trying it, things can only be as fun as you make it.

“We left early and that was the best part”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

We have been to the Sleuth Mystery Theater in Orlando, Fl and have had a wonderful time........well a great three times. We looked forward to going to the Tampa show as it was closer to home.
We were sorely disappointed. The best part of the evening was that they brought the bill before the end of the show and we were able to leave early.

At the Sleuth you have fruit and cheese upon arrival. Salad and crackers and cheese spread when you are seated. All the wine, tea, soda, beer you can drink is included. Then the entre is served followed by coffee and dessert. At the Murder Mystery Company you were served salad and entre which came out looking like a school cafeteria serving with a piece of bread on top of the entre. No salt, pepper, sugar, splenda were on the table or available. Drinks had to be purchased. No coffee and we never did get a dessert. What we did get which was not mentioned previously was a charge of $9 per person for gratuity plus the drink cost.

The show was poorly organized from the beginning to the end. First of all the show is located in a small part of the entire restaurant at the back. It is not handicapped friendly as there are stairs. You begin by standing in line. No accomemodation is made for individuals who have trouble standing.......you stand to have your picture taken with a silly hat (and you cannot refuse) and then they try to sell it to you later in the evening.

The mystery itself was poorly organized. You get a visual aid.......basically a loose leaf book..........and are told to read the first page but to go no further. People come around and hand out hats and name tags to dinner guests and they are supposed to become part of the show. No background is given and you really don't know what is going on or the story line until it is almost over. The sound system is poor, the audience is loud, the acting is amateurish. There were few if any laughs at our table because we could not understand the French maid who spoke with a Russian accent and then told us she was with the FBI. Storyline twists are fun........too many without any real understanding of the story line was simply confusing.

We definitely will not return. And even with a Groupon we think we were definitely overcharged for some average lasagne.

“Just awful. Spend your money and time elsewhere.”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

I found this on Groupon and was excited to go! We got to the spaghetti warehouse which was a nice decor. There was a streetcar inside where they also seat guests for dinner. We were excited until we were seated alone in the furthest corner of the streetcar. There seemed to be no air conditioning so that was also uncomfortable. The server was rude and short mannered. Tried to take a rum and coke that was still full!!! He just seemed unhappy to be there and rushed us. We received our food nearly right when we sat, which was good. Our meals were ok but the lack of service and seating ruined our experience already. Groupon states it's a "3" meal course but no. No dessert as promised. That was the cherry on top of an awful night so we didn't fight it. Show was an absolute mess and completely unorganized. Couldn't hear them introduce half the suspects and had no idea that we'd be forced to get up and squeeze around other tables to bother people for information. We will never go again. I will definitely read reviews before trying another show. Save your money!!!!!!!

“Disappointed. Do not pay full price”
Reviewed 12 January 2014

My husband, myself and another couple went as my friend had won the gold tickets. Apparently the tickets were $75 each. Would have been extremely upset if had paid for tickets. Food was ok, service ok not great but not worth more than $15 total so a lot of money as the audience did most of the acting. Everyone seemed very confused, not organized at all. We laughed amongst us as we couldn't hear or see half of what was going on in the gold circle. We had been to Sleuths in Orlando and should have gone there, worth the drive compared to this amateur production. Very disappointed as if it was good would have come back.

“Poorly done”
Reviewed 28 December 2013

We had experienced murder mystery dinner theatre in other cities so when we found a Groupon for the one in Tampa we grabbed it. We were very disappointed. The setting in the Spaghetti Warehouse was crowded. Like boarding a cruise ship, guests were forced to line up on entering, wear funny hats and pose for pictures they later tried to sell you for $20. The food was served - very disappointing. A bagged salad was drowned in Italian dressing. The choices were very limited. Our group of four, who were seated with strangers, all chose lasagna. Mine was tepid and tasted scorched. One woman at our table had not even finished eating when her plate was whisked away from her. The show had a few actors and many recruits from the audience. The directions were unclear. There was little acting and the audience was encouraged to interrogate the suspects. However, the venue was too noisy and too cramped to move around. When asked, the potential suspects, formerly audience members, didn't know how to respond. The bills arrived with a $9 per person gratuity added. We were thrilled I to be able to leave and certainly won't return.
