The first thing we were told as we ordered drinks, was that the menu was not correct. The 1/2 price drinks and sushi was now buy one at full price, get the second 1/2 off. The prices were on the high side for sushi and drinks, so we only had a couple drinks and 2 orders of sushi for apps. The sushi was good, nothing great and the beer was ice cold.
The dinner menu states soup and salad, but the waiter asked if we wanted soup or salad. When I questioned, she said it was a misprint and didn't offer both. The portions were medium to small for the price and compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area. Flavor was OK with the teriyaki sauce smothered over the entire dish.
To me these are signs of a struggling business, cutting back and trying to keep the lights on. We visited last year and it was much better, so I hope they turn things around and get back to where they were, not where they are.
