“Is this an attraction or a restaurant?”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

Wat Temple was selected as a visit on the basis of the attraction label.

On my visit at 9:30, there were maybe two workers there.
The Temple was locked. It is beautiful from the outside and delight
There is a large building adjacent to the temple with lots of areas that are most probably the food booths, but no one was there.

In summary perhaps the Wat Temple is a restaurant not an attraction. Although the web site has the opening at 9, there was no one there. Next time I will try to go later perhaps at lunch or dinner because the other reviews are so glowing.

“Lovely Venue and Great Thai Food”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

This Buddhist Temple serves authentic Thai food at low prices (around $5.00 for a meal). Service is on Sunday mornings only. The setting is on the Hillsborough River, and there is a large are iwth lots of trees and picnic tables. It is a great place to sit and eat and linger for an hour or two. The people are very friendly.

“Unique”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

I went there on a weekday, so actually nobody was there. I strolled in the garden and I also took a look at the interior of the temple which was remarkable. It was far better than I had expected. It is a very unique building inside and outside, too.
I recommend this place, it's worth visiting it, especially if you live in this area and you have spare time.

“one of the few authentic places to eat in tampa”
Reviewed 25 February 2014

I went with my friends on Sunday morning for the market. It opens at 1030 and better get there early because most of the food is sold out by 1. You will find an assortment of goodies from pad thai to pho to desserts and thai coffee. Each meal is only 5 dollars and the drinks are 1$. Plus everything is made by volunteers and members of the temple. After eating, you can tour the temple, which is beautiful. This place is a hidden gem and is not to be missed.

The best place to go for amazing food and beautiful atmosphere on a Sunday morning! Make sure you get there early, they run out of the good stuff early sometimes.
