We where looking for a nice Vietnamese restaurant with my wife on South end of Tampa.
We though we found it, but to our surprise it was empty on A Saturday nite around 7:30
It should have been a red flag that we should NOT have ignored by eating there
However we gave them a try and regretted it.....
For started it was dark and it would have been an indication for dirtiness. LOOK OUT!
Then the waitres (looked like the owner) was less then helpfull as we asked questions about the menu.
She asked if we wanted a drink, we order a Pepsi and a Arnold Palmer and we where surprised to see her serving us the Pepsi in a can in a restaurant of this sort. we asked for a glass and it was an effort for her to bring a glass for the can of Pepsi that she had brought to us.
Keep in mind that we eat out 7 days a week, so we know about food and service. I asked her about the papaya salad and well... she acted as if we had been stupid, her demeanor was very dismissive and when she brought the papaya salad to me I wanted to give her a complement but she was not interested on my nice opinion and walked away. But all was well anyway because the papaya salad shrimp was though.
My husband order pho and it was tasteless. I order curry and I was surprised to see a plate with 3 big slices of carrots and the curry sauce (well!! it was missing….) I wonder if she lost it on the floor on the way to our table because it was rather skimpy and served with a few pieces of chicken that was over cooked. That woman never came to ask if everything was OK or needed anything else, as they generally do.
In fact she saw us stop eating and she rushed to give us the check. I wanted a drink refill and she plainly and angrily said WE DONT DO FREE REFILL...(WOW a 5 cents refill for your patrons and all we got was BAD SERVICE WITH A DESSMISIVE ATTITUDE) .Needless to say we will never set a foot there of recommend it at all. This is nothing but a hell hole.
