“we loved it!”

Very unique - small - quiet. We were the only ones there. Only a nominal $2.00 entrance fee. A beautiful 'Old Florida' garden and greenhouse.

Easy crushed-shell trail to walk (less than 1/2 a mile long) with lots of plants to look at and photograph. Clean bathrooms and soda machine too.

We will be back!

“Small, but with natural color”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2013

The first thing you will notice about the park is that it seems to be out of place and not that easy to find. One feels that they are driving for a long time to get to it. The other side of that is that it is located off the normal track and if you follow the signs, will find the slow drive worthwhile. In Florida, natural springs aboud. Most of the time they are way out in a swamp or have been "made tourist " by developers. This park is dedicated to saving one of those little springs in a natural way. This park is located north of the I4 interstate just east of I75. You will pull into the "pocket" park and find a small parking area, clean and well maintained bathrooms, and soda dispensers. The park is very clean and well maintained. A few picnic areas are about in the frount area of the park for lunch. There is a board walk that wonders through the swamp area. From this venue, one can view the small spring and many natural lovelys of Floridas wild side. In the front area is also located a large flower display. Many native and now popular flowers are on display. It may serve you to use insect repelant if you visit. The county does its best to keep such under control but it is still a good idea. This park is a good place to go, have lunch, and walk it off on the boardwalk. Follow this with a lingering time in the flowers and you will feel recharged for the world.
