If you are a fan of Soul Food, this place has it all.
Tender greens seasoned with smoked pork, Pole Beans, Mac and Cheese, BBQ chicken, Fried Chicken, Pork Chops smothered in gravy and even Chitlins, although I can't imagine why anyone would actually order it.
Everything is piping hot in steam trays behind the glass, so you can customize your meal as you like by having them add gravy to the rice, or extra 'pot liquor' with the greens.
My associate had the oxtail stew, which was pricy at $12, but the servings were extremely generous and included two sides and a cornbread as big as a cat's head.
I got the 'Grandpa Gone Crazy' rib dinner which was $8 and included 2 big BBQ beef ribs and 2 sides.
Grandpa John's will satisfy anyone looking for a real down home Southern meal.
