“A Peaceful Kind of Feeling”

This cozy little beach brings a lot of enjoyment to both the active young set and the laid back retirees as you can see in the attached photos. It offers picnic pavilions, swimming , volley ball court, and beautiful Gulf Coast sunsets.

The Tarpon Springs Recreation Department sponsors a free concert once a month usually on the third Thursday of the month. It is a perfect setting from which to enjoy a picnic lunch, some pleasing musical entertainment that gives you that laid back feeling while keeping an eye out for the perfect camera shot as the sun sinks into the Gulf in a setting of purple and pink splendor.

Come early to obtain a good parking location and enjoy the parasailing set as they race up and down St. Joseph's Sound and in a heavy breeze and go airborne to the delight of the onlookers.

Have some fun with your young grandchildren from up North by having them watch for the big ball of steam that arises as the hot sun sinks into the Gulf !

It is a great place to end the day as a calm and peaceful feeling comes over you as you hold hands or hug your loved ones as the sun sets.

Bring a small flashlight to help you leave the beach when the concert is over

I moved recently to the area about 30 minutes away from the beach and I find it to be absolutely relaxing small enough for a nice little getaway areas to barbecue and a playground for the kids if you want to bring them with. Bathrooms are clean there is no eating area but you can bring your own food and have a great time at the beach

This beach is very small but really nice for a afternoon out by yourself or with a few friends. They do have limited amount of grills and a small playground. Not recommended for large groups.

It is also nice for watching the sunset.

Only minutes from the house and a small beautiful beach. Quiet and sometimes they have bands perform at sunset.

My husband and I recently purchased property in Florida and we drove out to Sunset Beach to check it out. It was more than we expected. The view was breathtaking and what a show we had from the kite boarders. That was so exciting and looks like so much fun ! My 74 yr old husband wants to look up the rental place at Tom's and take a lesson or two and go join this adventurous crowd of sun fun water lovers. We are truly going to enjoy spending our winters in Florida. Spencer, NY
