The Tarpon Springs Recreation Department sponsors a free concert once a month usually on the third Thursday of the month. It is a perfect setting from which to enjoy a picnic lunch, some pleasing musical entertainment that gives you that laid back feeling while keeping an eye out for the perfect camera shot as the sun sinks into the Gulf in a setting of purple and pink splendor.
Come early to obtain a good parking location and enjoy the parasailing set as they race up and down St. Joseph's Sound and in a heavy breeze and go airborne to the delight of the onlookers.
Have some fun with your young grandchildren from up North by having them watch for the big ball of steam that arises as the hot sun sinks into the Gulf !
It is a great place to end the day as a calm and peaceful feeling comes over you as you hold hands or hug your loved ones as the sun sets.
