There are a lot of great beaches in Florida, but this one is one of the best: white sand, shallow clear waters, shadowed places if you can't stand the burning sun, bathrooms and many parking lots. It is situated at the northern edge of an island south of St. Petersburg. Since 2013 a small entrance fee is required (5 or 6 dollars) for a car.
