One block away from the beach, this resort has a nice heated pool plus a great fishing dock and BBQ area. The rooms are privately owned and are fully equipped, although no toiletries are included. The only reason it didn't have 5 stars is the added cost of room cleaning if you don't want to do it yourself, which I don't when on vacation. It seems to attract repeat and older guests, which is great as I'm not a fan of screaming kids. The whole place is well maintained and tended and the manageress very cheerful.

Room Tip: The rooms nearest the inlet are quieter as it is on a busy junction.

We just spent a week at the Malyn Resort and once again are happy to report that our vacation there was wonderful! We stayed in Unit 105 and highly recommend not only the resort in general, but this unit in particular. #105 is located downstairs, poolside, and is tastefully decorated. The comfortable breakfast bar adds to the ambiance and is perfect for entertaining guests. The pool and grounds are always well maintained and welcoming. This quiet resort is located within easy walking distance to many fine restaurants, shopping, and the beach. The friendly on-site management team is always available to ensure that guests are comfortable. If you're looking for an inexpensive, relaxing get-away, the Malyn on Treasure Island is the place to go.

Room Tip: We prefer ground floor; however, since this is only a two-story complex, all the units are easy to access. We like the one-bedroom units, but the studio units are also nice and a little less money.

My husband and I stayed three nights last week at the Malyn Resort and had a delightful time. Andrea made us feel very welcome. She is knowledgeable about the area and can give you suggestions of places to go and things to do. Our room was comfortable with a view of the beautiful, lush tropical plants and palm trees. The cabana overlooking the water was our favourite quiet space to enjoy the waterbirds and dolphins. The resort is in easy walking distance to shopping, dining and the Gulf beach. Riding the trolley up and down the beach road is a fun way to spend the afternoon, give it a try!

We stayed only one night to attend my daughters graduation at admiral farragut academy which is a very close 2 miles from the motel. We should of booked a full week! The motel is a very charming building only blocks away from the beach. It s on the bayside with a beautiful view of the bay and fishing docks to pass the time. The room was clean and the best part by far was the full kitchen! It really makes you feel at home when you can cook a meal or just make some tea. I accidentally left my pillow behind and these kind people at the Malyn boxed it and shipped it out to me. Simply Amazing!!! We are already planning our famaly vaction there and are looking forward to our stay at the Malyn.

We live locally and like to rent a "dock" for fishing, and just to get away without leaving the county. This place has been a favorite of ours. Location is GREAT, wide intercoastal waterway, Gulf of Mexico, beach trolly, and some really good restaurants within very short walking distance. Very well kept and managers are super friendly. We especially like the Gazebo with the TV for local games, while we still watch our poles in the water. Wonderful place!
Tip: Try eating at the VIP mexican restaurant two blocks away!!! Yummy!!!
