Beautiful, peaceful and affordable. My family and I decided to get away for the Thanksgiving holiday and chose the Bilmar Beach Resort. We are so happy that we did. The setting was beautiful with miles of beach everywhere we looked. We were treated to huge sand sculptures left over from the previous weekend's "Sanding Ovations" competition. Our rooms were clean, updated and overlooked the ocean. Although the hotel has two restaurants, Sloppy Joes and Bazzies Beach Bar, we also had many choices to choose from within easy walking distance, along with a Publix and a Walgreens. Our room had a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, stovetop and breakfast table, so we didn't have to break the bank by eating out every meal. Some highlights of our trip--gorgeous sunsets every night and live music at several different venues within walking distance and at the hotel to choose from. The staff was so professional, always smiling and responsive to our requests. Finally, we were impressed that management was considerate of the staff on the Thanksgiving holiday and warned hotel guests that some services would be scaled back to allow more staff to spend time with their families. Very classy. We will definitely be returning to the Bilmar!

Dear Gail,

Please know how thankful the entire Bilmar Team is for the wonderful guests like you. We are very pleased that you choose our resort for your families Thanksgiving. I am glad you enjoyed the amazing works of art still on display from the 5th annual Sanding Ovations Masters Cup & Music Festival. Always held on the weekend before Thanksgiving it is ranked in the top 10 of Sand Sculpture competitions in the world by CNN. We hope to have the 10 competition pieces and sponsors sculpture up for a few more weeks. Your generous compliments and observations are appreciated by us all and we thank you for sharing with them with others.
Sincerely, Clyde Smith – General Manager

From the start of the relationship with this hotel, my wife and I found them to be great. They were very easy to deal with on the phone and booked my room with good advice from their rep. When we got there it was a quick stop to checkin and received a discount for their bar/restaurant. Our room was on 5th floor with a balcony. the room was nice and clean with decent size and a nice balcony, small but clean bathroom and comfortable beds. Enjoyed a couple meals at Sloppy joe's which were very good as well and reasonably priced. We found the beach to be clean and well taken care of. Where many hotels of similar quality would have been much more expensive, this hotel was around $120 and worth every penny. would not hesitate to stay there again and thought the staff were really nice folks and very professional but every one of them were friendly from the front desk to the people sweeping the grounds. Very very impressed. Live in Orlando area and rarely go to the west coast but this place is definitely on our list and really enjoyed ourselves.

Room Tip: room 544 was reasonably quiet with nice balcony and kitchenet. would go again in a heart beat

We come to Treasurer Island for 4 days the weekend before Thanksgiving. The Bilmar Beach Resort is the best. Staff is excellent , rooms are very clean and welcoming. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. They are the host of the Standing Ovations which happens that same weekend, This was our 5th year staying. .

My sister and I vacation at the beach 2 times a year, but this was our first time to Treasure Island. So Bilmar was a nice choice in a great area. There are stores, restaurants and bars with great music within walking distance. We checked in at 3pm.and we're given a balcony room (they're all balcony rooms) on the 2nd floor. I asked for a floor higher but there was a wedding going that weekend so they were full. She assured us we were in a great room. The room was very nice. Clean and open with small balcony. And although we could see the beach clearly we also had a view of the roof to their restaurant. It had all kinds of electrical boxes and an oddly place security camera. But the worst part was the "stuff" on the roof. Yuck! We informed the management and the assure us it would be cleaned. Let me know if it was cause it wasn't while we were there. Also there was a restaurant across the road that had live music till 1am. I know the hotel can't help that and I didn't blame them. So bring ear plugs. The staff are all nice and very accommodating. We would definitely go back!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors.
