“Treasure hunt!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

We packed our "florida snow shovels" with a day of shark tooth hunting planned. The waves were a bit rough but we still found quite a few. The sand does get very hot because it is dark, so wear water shoes. A really neat little treasure hunt to do with the kids.

“Hunting ground for sharks teeth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014

Took a walk along the beach looking for that favorite Florida souvenir. Very lovely area with pelicans flying above and even saw a snake on the way to the water. It was nice because it wasn't spoiled with condos and commercialism. Water was warm, easy parking and boardwalks for access. Nice view of the pier.

“Great search!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014 via mobile

It took a while to figure out how to recognize the shark's teeth. If it wasn't for a nice local couple, we would have never guessed all the different types of teeth to find....even sting ray teeth. Also found fossilized bone. A collander I saw works best for sifting.

“2nd & 3rd visits”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

This time brought our 7 year old twin niece & nephew and they loved it! Hunted for shark teeth & shells. The sand is very hot. Were flip flops or swim shoes. Good showers. We saw turtles on our walk to the beach.

“Be Good to Caspersen”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2014

As many have said, Caspersen is a great beach, but please do not hoard the sharks teeth. Do you really need hundreds to prove you have been there? The worse things ever invented are those so-called Florida snow shovels. They should be outlawed for their wholesale harvesting of the beach of all the cool things found there. Thousands of people will want to visit to find a sharks tooth or two. If buckets of the teeth are sitting in your garage you make it harder and harder for others to enjoy this place.
