“Great dog beach for those visiting from out of town”

Was in town for the Fox Lea horse show with our lab. Watched our daughter ride in the show, then took our lab to the beach. Poo bags along the walk way, and showers near the exit. The waves are calmer than our home on the east coast near Fort Lauderdale. A few people had their dogs on paddle boards. The water isn't clear, and there's sea weed near the shore, but don't let that stop you.

This is the only dog approved beach and it is a nice outing for any dog. My dog loved frolicking in the waves and on the beach. This was my first time going and it was right before a storm was brewing so no one was out there. we decided just to let him run around for a bit before heading out before the clouds rolled in. There was no one on the beach, but I can imagine that even if there were 10 dogs they'd all have room to run and play - the beach is pretty big and stretches for a good distance. In order to get to the beach you have to go through the paw park and then a little trail from there to the beach. The trail part isn't fenced in on one side because essentially you are walking in between a wooded ditch and then there's a fence on the other side. So we had our dog on the lease until we got down to the beach. I didn't want him running off into the ravine especially since there were "beware of alligator" signs. We will definitely take him back often!

We have taken our dogs several times and it is bliss! Beautiful beach, plenty of room, poop facilities everywhere, nice boardwalk, and happy dogs everywhere. Our dogs swam, chased the ball, and played off leash with the other dogs. The best dog beach ever! Also has a freshwater hose to rinse off the sandy dogs and humans. I did heed the alligator warnings and made sure the dogs stayed on the boardwalk until we got to the beach! We didn't see any though! Highly recommended!

We included our dog in everything that day. The beach was great! Our little dog didn't like the waves and a couple dogs didn't seem so friendly so he wasn't off leash long. Most of the dogs and owners were really having fun! We will be back

it is the only place he moves quickly to get to. The setting is very picturesque. There is enough room so all the different sizes of dogs have room to be to themselves. There are poop bags provided and water and a fresh water hose for those who have been in the salt water. A wonderful resource for dog lovers.
