Owner description: Venice Fishing Pier, 1600 Harbor Dr. S., Venice Island, FL 34285. OPEN DAILY. Fishing License is NOT Required. The Venice Fishing Pier is located at Brohard Park on the south end of the island of Venice, and is owned by the City of Venice. The 700-foot Pier is a great location for fishing and to end the day watching a beautiful sunset. Connected to Sharky's on the Pier, the only beachfront restaurant in the Venice area, the Pier offers Papa's Bait Shop, with live & frozen bait, coffee, treats, jackets, shirts, and more. Nearby are six picnic shelters, two sand volleyball courts, and public restrooms with showers. Open at all times. There is no fee to access the Pier and avid and amateur fisherman of all ages can fish from the Pier without a fishing license.

Free Parking and easy access.

You do have to walk around and thru the crowd at Sharkey's to get on the pier.

Fishermen were proud to share their stories of what they were catching and best times to fish.

It is amazing how secluded the pier is at dark there no lights in either direction other than the Sharkey's/Fins restaurants!

I like the Venice Fishing Pier becomes it is close to Sharkee's where you can get some good food and listen to some great music as you share your fishing stories with fellow fishermen. It is inexpensive too and parking is free.

Busy Sunday - Average Pier. It was a nice location to check out but for a weekend visit, try something off the beaten path.

Theyno longer charge for walking or fishing on the pier and it is a great short walk while waiting to get into Finn's or Sharkey's which are to of the only beach restaurants in Venice.
