First, in a city that has very good service, our waitress, Lili provided, perhaps the best service we have ever had. She took care of the needs of all six of our party. The food was very good, and well presented. The decor has a Mexican flair without being gaudy. One of our favorites.

While staying in Venice for 2 months, we had dinner three times at Mi Pueblo. The first two, we had Mariela as our waitress. She shines! She does such a great job and always with a smile. The chips are homemade, salsa pretty good, would ask for more cilantro! I've had the fish tacos twice and a chicken enchilada. The margaritas are great, atmosphere is very welcoming and homy, lots of choices for seating. Love the copper punch out lamps, they make it very authentic. All of the employees have a family feeling. Don't know if this is a family owned & operated restaurant, but the employees really seem to love their job and they always have each other's back. Yes, there is a line to get in at 5pm due to happy hour, but many guests can be seated once they open the doors. Worth a wait. And for one night, I was Jessica Alba (my reservation name)!!!

This restaurant was highly rated on yelp, but it is average at the best. Salsa was not home made, tasted like it came out of a jar. Will not go back anytime soon

We arrived at a little before Six and the restaurant was very busy but being a Friday night that's what you would expect. The hostess asked if we wanted inside, outside or next available. We chose next available and were told it would be about 30 minutes. They then give you a stick with the name of a famous Mexican. We were given Cesar Chavez. It was still happy hour so we went to the bar and ordered Margaritas. We really enjoyed them they weren't too tart or too sweet. Just right. Before we were done with our drinks they called out Cesar Chavez and we were seated at a cozy table for 2. We ordered a hot appetizer of onion, peppers, chorizo and cheese serves on tortillas. Really delicious! The chips and salsa were also very good. Jesus our waiter was out standing. Very attentive without being intrusive. We ordered Pollo Zargoza and Pollo Monterrey. Both were out standing. Portions were too large to eat so we brought them home. We can't wait to go back and try some other items on the menu. We were very impressed by all the staff. They were all very busy but when husband dropped his napkin a waitress picked it up before he could and brought him a fresh one. The manager came out and also asked how our dinner was. This restaurant is well run. Can't wait to go back!
