The room was clean and spacious with a balcony. Studio rooms have fridge and microwave and sink, plus paper plates, bowls and cutlery for families that want to fix light meals for themselves, they sell a variety of food items in the store which is handy.
I was quite disappointed that there was very little to entertain my granddaughter, just a small playground set on sand, she was too young for the pool.
The beach setting was lovely even though the sand was made up of crushed shells. The charges for Beach chairs, boogie boards etc was ridiculous especially considering the amount the hotel charges per night.

Welcome Home!~ Stayed here May 12 to 19 with my husband, son, daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandchildren ages 1 1/2 to 11. Stayed in the 2 bedroom villa and had lots of room for all. This place is so beautiful!! Right on the Ocean. Great place to relax. After reading some of the reviews I was concerned about staying here - not any more! Would go back in a heart beat. Lots for all to do. Staff here is very accommodating and friendly. Rooms could use a bit of a spiff up but really not too much.

Only suggestions for Disney.....Ebb & Flo's should stay open as late as the pool or after 7 pm there should be another spot to get the pool cues, shuffle board equipment, dry towels etc. After a day in the hot sun it would be nice to enjoy the shuffle board etc in the evening. Also there needs to be more recycling bins around the resort and pool area.

Make sure to take in the character breakfast with Donald and Goofy. Very tasty and well worth the money.

We have stayed at the Disney Hilton Head and must say I prefer Vero Beach - awsome place, people and the sand beach is wonderful. Would most definitely recommend Disney Vero Beach and cant wait to come back again.

Room Tip: The rooms in the 1200 are close to the bonfire and also close to the main lobby

Not overly Disneyfied, very relaxing. Beautiful beach front property, so picturesque. Lovely pool, although could be bigger or have more than one with the number of guests there. Great rooms, we did have a problem with the air conditioning but a maintenance man was sent as soon as we notified them.

Room Tip: Had a sea view inn room. It was beautiful.

Loved this place. Just enough Disney but definitely not overload. Great service by Sandy in Housekeeping and Joe the concierge. Also Nellie and Cosimo in the restaurant were so great with our kids. The rooms are fine - nothing crazy and yes, a bit dated. But the hotel is great, views are amazing, pool is fun and 4' at its deepest point, great waterside for all ages. So many great activities (crafts, archery, games) included. Minimal fees for mini golf and bike rental. Plus wave runners and boogie boards on the beach. Such a nice family place - not too big and everyone very friendly as is to be expected from a Disney property. Pricey, yes, but so much is included. Dislikes: Late check-in (4pm) and early check-out (11am) but at least we could use all the facilities before check-in and after check-out. They provide showers and lockers in the pool area.

Room Tip: We booked the standard room and the concierge gave us an ocean view, just because. Also if you arriv...

We go to Disney Vero Beach Resort after spending a week+ at Disneyworld. It is right on the ocean and it so laid back. The resort is beautiful, clean and refreshing! You are always welcomed with a warm smile and their staff is extremely accommodating. The pool in rather spacious and finding a lounge chair is usually not a problem. You also have access to the beach area while staying there. They have a 9 hole mini-golf course, shuffleboard, bike riding, tennis, etc. Tons of things to keep you busy or to just relax. Their accommodations range from a standard 2 bed room to like 3 bedroom houses. We just totally enjoy going there and relaxing after a long week running around at Disney World!

We are avid Disney World fans, staying an average of twice a year in villas. We are not DVC members. We stayed the second week of May 2014 in a 2 bedroom villa. Overall, we loved this resort and hope to be back many times.

Pros:
- Typical DVC layout. Familiar with it. Comfortable for our family of 4 with each kid (on different sleep schedules) to have their own space. Pull out couch was extremely comfortable.
- Beautiful resort. The grounds are very clean and well kept. We always saw someone upkeeping the outside of the resort.
- Secure. There are spots to scan your key in every possible location to ensure only resort guests are accessing them. Especially on and off the beach.
-Typical Disney entertainment. Lots of kids activities to do...and done right. My daughter LOVED the poolside bingo/trivia/games/dance party/etc. Even when she was the only one signed up for the Unbirthday Party, they offered to still hold it and encouraged her to still go. We didn't because she wasn't comfortable being the only one. But was very impressed. Lots of crafts to do. Mini golf was wonderful. Miss. Rita for crafts was very nice. Miss Liz who braided my daughter's hair was very nice as well.
- Mickey related things available here. If you are a Disney fan, you can enjoy a Mickey ice cream bar, Dole Whip (pool bar), Mickey waffle or even Disney merchandise. Of course at Disney prices but it's nice not to have to go to the parks to get this.
- The campfire was fantastic!!! Free smores! When does Disney give out anything for free? But seriously, Brandon and Josh were hilarious and lots of fun. Definitely do this.

Cons:
- Typical Disney prices. But to be expected.
- We spent over $500 per night on our room and the check in time was 4pm. We got there at 3pm after a whole day of traveling. We were one of several families in the lobby (including a large family who traveled by car for HOURS) who were not able to check in to our room at 4pm. Finally at 4:30pm my husband got the manager involved who didn't seem to want to deal with us. We got a voucher for a food item while waiting, but to be honest, I had two little children who hadn't had a nap and all we wanted was a place for them to take a quick nap. We paid over $500 for the night so we were disappointed to get into our room around 5pm and missing most of the day. While it was only an hour late, we think for the large expense of the room, it should at least been ready on time. I know it takes a while to clean a 2 bedroom villa, but maybe they should have additional staff to handle the check in requests. Wasn't a great start to our vacation.
- Housekeeping was OK. First full day we didn't get housekeeping until late afternoon when we had to call. For the long wait we had to get into our room, while the room was clean, there was signficant amount of dust on the shutters by the bathtub, and found small bugs on the kitchen counter. To be fair, this is very common in beach areas and we were on the first floor.
- The activities closed at 7pm. Like I mentioned above, we didn't get into our room until after 5pm. By the time we got the kids some food and into bathing suits, we tried to give them some pool time. All my son kept asking all day was to play mini golf. We arrived to the activities area at 7:10pm and it was shut down. No lifeguard could help us get a mini golf club or anything. And then I had a crying 2 year old (who didn't nap!). Normally DIsney goes out of their way to accommodate so I was surprised they wouldn't even try or see if anyone could help.
- No towel animals after first day. And the bath towels dwindled significantly. We started off with 8 bath towels. We ended up with maybe 4? Not sure what happened. Again, housekeeping wasn't the greatest.
- Outside of the disappointment of checking in, our largest concern was the power outage we experienced. We were told it was because the electric company was doing something. And normally that's fine. But I have never been to a resort that did not have backup generator. Especially a beachside resort, and Disney!!! In case of a storm this is very concerning. Surprised and disappointed.

Overall, we really enjoyed the resort. I can't wait to go back. I will make some changes based on our experience. Such as requesting a higher floor to avoid the bugs. Expect to check in late. But all worth it as the trip was wonderful.

Room Tip: Try to avoid a first floor room.

First of all, I would like to thank all the " cast members" at this resort for one of the best vacations that my family has had in ages. The attention to detail, the acts of kindness, the professionalism, the cleanliness of our room, the attention given to us on the beach, at the pool, in the restaurant, in the lobby. It was an amazing experience. Disney has never disappointed us. This is a truly fantastic resort. There's lots to do if you want to keep busy but it's also a great place to just go and relax. Our room was a 1 bedroom suite with a complete kitchen. Everything was in perfect working order and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare our meals. Spotlessly clean. The beach was beautiful. It's a great stretch of beach to walk. We were lucky enough to see sea turtle nests while we were there and the Disney staff did a great job at describing the nesting process as well as answering other questions that we had on the areas wildlife. It's such a quiet area and if you want peace and quiet this is a wonderful spot. Can't say enough good things about it - it was magical.

Room Tip: Try to get a view of the ocean, away from the pool.
