“South Pacific was a real treat!”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

This was our third visit to a Broadway production at the Riverside. While I would rate Les Miserables last year as my favorite, both of the other two (South Pacific and Grease) were also excellent. Vero Beach is able to attract New York class actors down for their short season in the first quarter of each year. (Especially this year, Vero Beach was a lot more pleasant place to spend the winter than New York City!)
The theatre itself is a real gem. Seating about 800, it is not overwhelming, but the acoustics and sitelines are first class. I would recommend a visit to the Riverside if there is a production on stage for your next visit. But book early. In our three visits all three shows were a sellout.

“Musicals here are usually pretty good.(2 out of 3)”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Enjoy most of the shows, just wish it wasn't so difficult when exchanging tickets. Even though we are season ticket holders (20% off) and there isn't a charge to exchange tickets (1 show) for a different date, it sure is difficult getting through to them on the phone. (19 mins. on hold, once last year & once this year) You have the option of leaving a message but it typically takes them two or three days to return your call. Then you'll get 3 different people calling you back. Not a good system in place. We won't be renewing our season tickets 2014-2015. I think we'll just pick the shows we really want to see. It's only a great deal when all the shows are great and changing a date is done with ease.

I saw the play on the last matinee performance. The actors and music were wonderful. I live in the area and attend performances here frequently. I have never been disappointed!!!

“Broadway Caliber”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

We have had season tickets at Riverside for over twenty years and have enjoyed many and varied productions over those seasons. We have seen a tremendous transition over the past several years beginning with the remodeling of the theater itself. Shortly thereafter, a group of theater patrons sent the Director and Producer to New York to audition for a special production of 42nd Street (the first musical I ever saw years ago in Sydney Australia - and since hooked on musicals!). The Riverside production was truly phenomenal and over 25,000 people enjoyed the show. Since then, many New York actors have been brought down to Vero and we have enjoyed fabulous productions from Les Miserables to Grease (which left Vero and played at the Walnut Theater in Philadelphia with the same cast and props). Miss Saigon, the last production was excellent and South Pacific has had similar reviews. Don't miss! Advise you get season tickets for next year too - it promises to be great with The Bikinis, Crazy for You, West Side Story and Memphis!

“Fabulous South Pacific”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

As a new visitor to Vero Beach I had no idea of the caliber of theatre here. We managed to get tickets for the Opening Night of South Pacific and were treated to a superb performance! The venue is beautiful, located in the Riverside Park with an art museum nearby. If you are visiting Vero Beach and are interested in attending a theatre event worthy of Broadway consider Riverside!
