This is a Thousand Trails membership resort that also is open to the public. The site, albeit close to the road is my favorite Thousand Trails location in Florida.
They actually had good wi-fi service at the club house. NO TENGO INTERNET, YEAH!
Lots of trees. Lots of activities for the kids including craft time, hot dog roasting, pool time, and more. There are pickle ball and shuffle board courts. Digging for fossils and even spotting an occasional alligator sunning on the bank.
The only issue is not all sites are set for 50 amp service for your RV. They have a lottery system if you don't get a 50 amp hookup. The 30 amp hookup sites, also don't have sewer dumps either. This can be a major turnoff but if you get a 50 amp site like we did, the experience is excellent.
The location is a little bit remote for some, but that was not a deterrent to us. The town of Wauchula has a 24 hour Walmart. Nice restaurants. 24 hour McDonalds, 24 hour Subway and other chain restaurants as well as some local diners that are nice.
30 minutes to the next bigger town for other restaurants. 1 hour to Tampa. 30-45 minutes to Legoland. 1 to 1 1/2 hours to Orlando.
