Description: Thank you for your many years of patronage at Philips Point Club and Top of the Point Restaurant. We have recently been advised by the buildings' property owners that they have entered into a new, long-term lease of the space with another tenant. Regretfully due to these circumstances, we will cease operations after dinner service on Saturday, March 15, 2014. We hope you will join us prior to then and invite you to visit The Breakers Dining Collection online to browse our array of distinctive restaurants.

“Have a drink and enjoy the view, but don't waste your money on dinner”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2011

We had dinner here during our stay at the Breakers. Go for the view and the service, and enjoy drinks or dessert. Dinner was SO not worth it. Two entrees and a bottle of champagne were around $250, and both of us agreed that our meals were simply flavorless. My entree consisted of two bratwurst in a bed of macaroni and cheese ($40), and it was just ridiculously bland. Whoever heard of bland sausage?? But the view was spectacular and the service top-notch, so it's worth going to enjoy a drink.

“Great view, mediocore food and service. Not worth it.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2011

Great view of the water and downtown West Palm Beach area, but average service and food. Food was undercooked, had to send back, and definitely not worth the price. I've had better seabass at Kee Grill. They automatically add 20% gratuity, so it reflects in the service. Better idea to go to Morton's for dinner and then head up to Top of the Point for a drink to get the view.

“It really is the "top"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2010

My fiance and I have been to Top of the Point twice, and cannot say enough good things about it. The setting, with skyline and water views, is dramatic, in a dining room with cathedralized ceilings and club chairs. The manager, Jim Febraro, came over to say hello and we enjoyed the conversation so much, we wanted to ask him to pull up a chair. Our server, Betsy, was friendly and sharp. The food...omg, we wished we could transport their food home. We enjoyed the volcano sushi rolls--they are actually fried! Can't describe to do them justice, all I can say is these sushi rolls are out of this world. We ordered champagne and it matched the food perfectly. My fiance went on a fishing expedition and the restaurant offered to cook the freshly caught fish for us. We can't wait to return. This is a fabulous restaurant.

“Good food, not cheap, service a little disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 September 2010

Stayed at Breakers and went to Top of the Point. Ordered Prix Fixe, but with a drink or two, you are still probably looking at $60+ per head with tip (they kindly add in 20% for your convenience). Anyway, that would all be ok, but by the end of the meal we felt a little like second class citizens. It was a tuesday night and there were at least six open tables with a window view, but the host was firm those were reserved. Well, I guess they were late eaters, because noone sat in them from 7:30 until after 9 when we left. I'm sympathetic to the need to save a choice table or two for the honeymoon reservation booked a month in advance, but six open tables is a lot to leave sitting in front of someone after being so adamant they are reserved.

We also went most of the meal without a water refill. And there was an overall feeling of strain about the service. It could be that customer traffic is light, hence not a lot of tips, and morale is low. That can be a viscous circle. I'm sorry to say we probably wouldn't return, despite the food being quite good. Maybe others will have a better experience.
