This is my second time here and we were very pleased, our room was immaculately clean top to bottton, all linens were fresh and clean, plenty of towels and whirlpool tub in bedroom, very relaxing, We were in a A unit which is a large size 1 bedroom apt. The location suited my husband and myself well, we were 30 minutes from South Beach, we went there 2 days, then we took a drive to the Keys that was about 2 hours to get half way down, but we were on vacation so we didnt mind the drive. We were about 20 minutes from Ft lauderdale beach at Las Olas Blvd, fun there too. I like to party too but when it comes to unwinding i like the quiet setting Vacation Village has to offer, the pool area nice, and every nite at the country club half price drinks from 4-8pm, and Thursdays ladies drinks $1.00 till 6-10pm we enjoyed that too. We were very pleased with our stay here and would not hesitate to go back again. The only reason i didnt give a perfect score is because they do need to have washers and dryers in the units. But i just did laundry down the hall, each floor has a laundry room.

Recently traded out a timeshare week to stay at the Bonaventure.

What a WONDERFUL surprise the resort was! We traded for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo. It was SPACIOUS - about 1200 sq. feet of living space with a nice combination living/dining room, screened in balcony, master suite with double walk-in closets and king-size bed, 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds, 3rd bedroom with queen bed, walk-in closet and pocket sliders to hall bath.

Kitchen was well equiped with ample dishes, knives, appliances, etc. and we had a full-size washer and dryer in the unit.

We stayed at the Egret Villas, which is 1/4 mile from the main building. The pool offered plenty of chairs, tables and lounge chairs as well as having immediate access to changing rooms/restrooms.

Weston is a planned unit development so most of the properties are condos, timeshares along with some single famly homes.

When on the Bonaventure properties, you have use of all of the facilities including several pools, internet access at the main building only (however local calls and 800 calls are free if you need to dial up access), game rooms, etc.

The resort is located right off of Hwy 84 with easy access to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.

We received full maid service in the middle of the week, but you can have daily service for a slight fee.

I'd go back to this resort again when staying in this area of FL.

We did a timeshare exchange and for our two bedroom time share we were only able to get a one bedroom. When we arrived, we discovered we did not actually have the one bedroom unit, we had the studio, so our whole place was extremely small. (we did not even had a dishwasher)It is called the B unit. The one bedroom A unit was large and very nice, so be sure if you get a one bedroom, is it the A side. Makes a huge difference.

The staff was excellent, but we were disapointed in the fact that our building (the MIZNER) did not have a restaurant or snack bar at the pool. You could go to another pool at the complex if you got in your car and drove about five minutes, but our experience was that no matter how early we got to the pool all of the lounge chairs were taken. One morning all the chairs had towels and other personal items on them, (it was 9am), yet there were only six people in the pool. Obviously people reserved them very early and just went on their way. The only way to swim and not have to leave for lunch is to go to the main pool, where they serve hamburgers and hot dogs from a grill.

We unfortunately decided to take the breakfast sales pitch. It started at 9am. We thought one to two hours and we would be done. It lasted five and one half hours. It could have been much much shorter. It was torture!! So if you plan to go, just be aware it will take up a good half of your day, whether you buy or not. You can't just get up and leave cause you meet in one place, and the sales person has to drive you to where you eat. We waited 20 minutes just for a table. It was 10 and we had not even eaten breakfast yet. Just be forewarned!

We are always pleased with our time share vacations. Especially when they are gold crown. This should not be gold crown resort. The Front desk was very pleasant, however the rooms were second rate. They were not cleaned thoughly. There were some towels folded in the linen closet that were NOT clean. They smelled DIRTY. The mattress was saggy and needed to be replaced. Not enough linens for the pillows. I always felt uncomfortable because I knew the room was not spick and span. No washer and dryer in the room. Minor detail but a big inconvenience. Not enough supplies. No dishwashing liquid or complimentary coffee supplies like you usually get with a gold grown. And the room was always damp.

We have 3 kids (8,8,6) so we wanted a place where they would be entertained but still enjoying some privacy without breaking the bank. We found this resort on-line and were extremely please.
Offical check-in time was 1600, but we showed up at 1200. We registered and got all the paperwork taken care of. We returned at 1600 to get our room. I reccommend the early show because 1600 was very busy. Our room was ready at 1600 as promised.

We got a ground floor 1-bedroom suite in the Ibis B building. This was their newest building and showed extremely well. It was very new looking and extremely clean. We asked for and received a roll-away bad. The pull-out was used for 2 of the kids and the roll-away for the 3rd. My wife and I had a seperate bedroom with our own TV.

The kitchen was complete. We save hundredsof dollars by picking up $86.00 worth of groceries. Most breakfasts and lunches were spent in the hotel room. There are a lot of restaurants within 10 minutes TGIF and Applebys to name a few.

The pool was the best most pleasant surprise. It was huge, like a reosrt pool from the carribean. It was heated and had a waterfall. The deepest spao was 4 feet 6 while most of the pool as 3-4 feet deep. This made it perfect for the kids. They speant hours in the pool. Make sure you get to the pool early (before 1000) to claim lounge chairs. They go quickly. Lounging by the pool was perfect. We didn't expect such a nice spot.

Apparently there are several buildings in several different locations for Vacation Village. The Ibis (or any building by check-in) were close to the pool. There may be some that are away from the main pool. Ask about this when you check-in.

To recap_ a perfect family spot. We will definately go back. We were offered a breakfast and a tour of the vacation units (time share pitch) when we checked in. We said no thanks and that was the end of it. No pressure, just a nice quiet vacation.

I highly reccommend it.

We stayed at the Vacation Village 2 nights prior to taking a cruise, February 3rd and 4th, 2005. We were looking for a reasonably priced place with good reviews so we opted for this resort. We booked it using hotels and had no problems whatsoever. We checked in late without a hitch (they have a 24 hour front desk). The unit was located on the ground floor in the Crane building, across from the front desk. It was a bit noisy in the morning but other than that we did not hear a thing. It was beautifully furnished and spotless, the bathroom was super clean, no mildew anywhere, clean shower curtain and lots of towels. The kitchenette had everything you needed and was also spotless. There was also an iron and ironing board in the condo. The resort had continental breakfast served by the pool but we did not check it out. The pool area was beautiful, we took a quick look but did not use the facilities. They also offer free internet access (15 minutes at a time if others are waiting, 6 stations). The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, we were waiting for a sales pitch for time-sharing but it never came...thankfully! The only negative was the bed, it was way too soft, the whole thing would have needed to be replaced.
