The grounds are delightful, with many incredibly old huge banyan trees. We overnighted there on a drive to Key West. We were exhausted when we arrived and didn't feel like driving to dinner so we opted to dine on the grounds at "Ireland Steakhouse." The food and wine were fantastic. It was a good choice. The rooms are older, which I tend to like because they were very spacious. Our room was clean and comfortable. Overall it was an excellent spot, one that I would return to and I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Free WiFi for first night.

Overnighted here- our room was wonderful- spacious and clean.
Sidewalks everywhere- good for walkers and runners.
Pools were very clean - enjoyed a good swim after a hot run.
Grounds kept well and manicured tastefully.
Friendly staff, convenient parking.

My family and I stayed for 5 days, very nice rooms, great maid staff, both managers were very professional. Pool area was very nice, with an outdoor bar. Weston is a nice community with many fine restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel.

What a disappointment this place was. Expecting a true resort experience, instead we found an old place (multiple buildings) that was in need of upgrading. Actually it is dire need of a massive upgrade.

The single good thing about this resort is the very friendly staff. If the resort itself were half as good as the staff, this would be a wonderful place.

The room was clean, although there was a pair of men's underpants in the dresser. The bed was more uncomfortable than not, and there was a light scent of mildew. The AC was old, and not well regulated. It poured icy air out onto you, instead of circulating it through the room. There were old stickers stuck to the tub. Apparently, they could not be cleaned off by any method as they had surely been there for some time.

The pools were dirty, so much so that we did not use them. We had a quiet pool near our building, but the main pool was no better. The paving bricks surrounding the pool were dark with mold and mildew. Someone had thrown a towel out of the window and it was hung up on one of the trees. The vegetation at this resort is jungle like, rather than being well manicured with nice plants and flowers.

The fire alarm going off at 3:00 am did not help matters. After several minutes of the hideous clanging, with all the guests of the building standing in the parking lot, a sheriff's car pulled up. The officer asked what was going on... would that we knew. He left, but returned shortly with someone on a golf cart (presumptively, resort staff). Many more minutes later a fire engine finally pulled up. However, before its arrival someone shut off the alarm, but not the strobe lights. It seems there was a problem in the elevator's electrical switches. Once that was determined, guests were allowed to return to their room via the stairways, as of course, the elevators were inoperable. No one from the resort ever did check on the guests, nor offered an explanation for the situation. Needless to say, by the time we were allowed back to the room, there was no going back to sleep. The day went on to be a long one.

The conference area itself is not very comfortable. Very long hallways with very poor signage. It felt quite disorganized, but that truly could have been the conference organizers and not the resort.

Needless to stay, we'll not stay here again, and if there is a conference here, would either forego attending, or stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: If you must stay here, be sure to ask for a room on a floor you won't mind accessing without an...

Thank you for sharing your recent experience at our resort. We are very sorry that we fell short of your expectations from a room-comfort standpoint. We are currently working with ownership on a future renovation plan, but cleanliness is another issue and we will focus on improving our performance in this particular area. We can certainly appreciate your frustration with the unforeseen fire alarm situation, however, we take the safety and security of our guests very seriously and we are glad that that our staff was able to quickly and safely secure the area for all guests in the immediate vicinity without incident.

On a positive note, we are proud of our staff for providing friendly service to you during your visit.

We do appreciate your feedback and hope that these issues will not prevent you from staying with us again in the future.

I found this to be a really dumpy place. It might have been nicer many years ago, but today "resort" and "spa" are hardly words I'd use to describe this place. It reminded me of a low-rent apartment complex that someone decided to turn into a hotel.

My room had a really musty smell. When I checked out the next day, all the clothes I had hung in the closet were damp - yuk. Most of the furniture in the room had torn upholstery and/or serious nicks in the wood. There was no business desk, just a small round table. There was a kitchen in the room, but all the appliances looked quite dated. There was mold in the shower. When I arrived at the complex there were several police cars at the entrance, and they seemed to be dealing with a very drunk hotel guest in a robe and slippers. Do I need to go on?

I would never, ever recommend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: If for some reason you have to stay here, avoid the ground floor since it's the least safe spot...

This hotel caters to conventions and at the same time has family friendly atmosphere. Excellent restaurants. Lots of bushes and trees around the facility. Easy access from major highways. There are several floors, however there are elevators as well as stairs. Pool area has bar, lots of seating. Delightful koi pond with resident swan. Very spacious spa, fitness center. Golf courses within sight. 5 miles from famous Sawgrass Mills Mall. Airport is 17 miles away, Fort Lauderdale Beaches are 20 miles.

Room Tip: The are separate buildings, you can choose to be near restaurant, convention center, pool.

The hotel is nicely nestled in Westin - a few miles north of the Ft. Lauderdale airport. The buildings are spread out over a large property with a pool and other entertainment areas around. There is a nice bar with great food and friendly staff. The problem of this hotel is, that all room are connected with an interior door - the first nite I had to deal with a group of partying young adults (4 in one room). When I asked the receptionist to get another room...I was told that I am lucky because this party was leaving that day. So I stayed in my room just to find out at my return that nite, that the new party was as loud and arguing as the previous party. So I finally got to move to another room (much smaller and facing the parking lot) with exactly the same problem - everything was hearable through the closed interior doors. This is not acceptable for a Resort and Spa where you should be able to spend a romantic or relaxing weekend without listening to the drama of other guests.
