“A really cool place to explore”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 March 2008

I had a great time exploring Devil's Bridge on the Eco Tour last week. Just an awesome place! Amazing views all around, I loved climbing through little caves inside, and when you get to the top you can enjoy looking at all the cool fish swimming in the pools below.

Thank hellojamie

“a living example of the force of nature”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2007

It was wonderful to see the natural force of nature and its impressions on the rock. One cannot help noticing the rigours of the sea there. We got a wonderful drench as we underestimated the stregth of the sea crashing into the rocks and up through the blow hole.It was an awsome experience for us and was even tempted to climb down, but thought better be safe than sorry.
Do use extreme caution around the wet areas as they are very slippery. One can actually go on top of the bridge walking on the dry areas and it is safe. Did not know about it being a suicide area for slaves....just got it from others reviews.

“Sad place to visit”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2006

Must admit I found it very sad visiting Devil's Bridge. This is the place where plantation slaves committed suicide when their lives were so terrible.
The sea spurts through a hole in a rock bridge. Nice view of the sea but little else.

What a RUSH of adrenaline!!! When we visited Devil's Bridge the first thing in everyone's mind was; who in the world would be dumb enough to jump off of that? The next question was; Who's going first? The last questions was; How do you get out?

Turns out jumping and getting out are not as tough as it looks, in fact some of us (myself included) went 4+ times. It is about as much of a rush as you can find in Antigua, and one of the most beautiful as well.

We didn't find out until we got home that it was the place slaves used to commit suicide. Probably wouldn't of been a good thing to hear as we were climbing out of the water.

Thanks Boris and Teresa for an awesome time. Your friends from FBI.

“very cool bridge to cross”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2004

my husband and me were in antigua june 2004. we rented a car and went to see devils bridge. very cool natural bridge. a little scary too. my husband would only go across it once, he got nervous when he saw the big crack in the rocks holding it together. but i braved it and watched the waves crashing underneath me, i did almost slip on the wet moss growing so be careful here, you do not want to fall in there. when we were there, there was no one else around which was cool. there are nice little pull offs to look for shells or go snorkeling just before you get to the bridge. i highley recommend seeing devils bridge, it is quite breathtaking.
