The beaches of antigua are absolutely beautiful!!! The views from the airplane are the best, be sure you stop for some shawarma on the way to the beach!

“Best beach on Antigua”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2013

Amazing, we went in August which was low season - perfect for going to the beach- we were the only people on it. Snorkeling great, sand / beach great - absolutely beautiful place. Pity the hotel there was closed due to hurricane.

“Stunningly beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2013

Have you ever been asked to close your eyes and picture a deserted seashore, hear the wind and the surf, feel a warm breeze blowing and soft sand under your toes? That's Half Moon Bay you were imagining.

Pack a picnic, your camera, a towel, and some water shoes - then go see the most beautiful, unspoiled, undeveloped, and ideal spot you could ever imagine. Waves crash over the wide rocky "walkway" on the north end: you can walk out and beyond and see small islands offshore and the coastline to the north. The south end has a deserted hotel that nature is reclaiming.

It's a national park site now, so there's nothing of the modern world to distract you from the breathtaking view of nature at its tropical best. There's a parking lot and picnic bench above the beach. You walk down a slight sandy slope, past a picture perfect palm tree, and you enter a completely unspoiled seashore. A few local children and teens fishing and playing in the surf when we first arrived. For the rest of the afternoon, we had it all to ourselves.

Just enough waves for body-surfing, gorgeous clear crystalline water (perfect temperature!), wide white beach in the namesake shape. Yes, it's far from the northwest side of the island (really only an hour and a half drive, however, the road and the signage are tricky), but part of the adventure was finding it! Go experience it for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

“Very nice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2013 via mobile

All beaches are nice in Antigua however this one is particularly beautiful,

( if your looking for a bar etc then this might not be the best place for you, Try long bay, there is a bar that backs on to the sea, you walk out of the door and your on the beach)
