We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are quaint. The breakfast was good and made to order and the Edgewater is not short on character. We met a couple there for a reptile show. We were there for a car show and another couple was there for Disney and left their three small dogs at the hotel so they could visit. A Christian band who was visiting started playing music on the piano in the lobby. One of the men who worked there told us about his former job running a wildlife park. Definitely, a fun and interesting place to stay. Beds are doubles, not queens. Baby was happy and took his first shower.

The Edgewater is the perfect accommodation for the town of Winter Garden. We felt it was like going back in time, and were treated with the hospitality I imagine you would receive 100 years ago. The hotel and town are the epitome of quaint, with several dining choices within a few blocks. We stayed four nights and were fine, however, for a longer stay I would have looked for a place with at least a queen sized bed. Very nice bed and breakfast, they did a fantastic job of renovating an old hotel.

Stayed at the Edgewater for one night to ride the trail from Winter Garden to Apopka the 1st day and Winter Garden to Clermont the 2nd day. I would recommmend the 2nd day trip, 15 miles to Clermont and a few hills but very nice. We had Room 213 very spacious but a little noisy at night due to being on the main street side. The breakfast was a plus, eggs, waffles, fruit, etc. No complaints for the price of $76.00 (AARP rate). There are two local restaurants/bar across the street with music until midnight.

Only booked for one night before flying home but wished we were stopping longer. Plant Street is like the real Main St. USA, full of period buildings with ice cream parlours, restaurants and the Garden Theatre. The Edgewater occupies the 2nd and 3rd floors of this 20s building with a Thai and 5 star restaurantand soda fountain below. The rickety original lift is promptly operated by the hotel staff. Our room looked onto Plant St and we were concerend about noise and a disturbed night but not so - slept great. Plumbing is somewhat eccentric compared to modern hotels but its all part of the experience. Breakfast was great with wide choice and cooked to order. As we were flying home late afternoon we were offered (not asked for but offered) a late check out. Strongly recommend.

The Edgewater was nice, good price, good water pressure, good ample parking, and cold air cond. These things can make or break a trip away from home. My only complaint is, the only size bed available is full, a queen makes all the difference in the world. The staff, and I presume them to be the owners, seem to be new to the area and B&B lifestyle. They were very nice and tended to our needs, but not full of stories and boastful about the hotel and it's history as most B&B owners are. The breakfast was well prepared and all you wanted, but nothing gourmet and out of the ordinary as most B&Bs. The town of Winter Garden was great, very clean and well maintained. The traditional Main Street, with shops, restaurants, and even 2 bars. Many locals with their pets are present on the this weekend, and the surrounding blocks housed many well kept older traditional homes. Only 3 blocks long but great to spend a half day, with an awsome Italian and BBQ restaurant I highly recommend. We were there after spending Friday in Leesburg for the bike fest, I enjoy the lake county area very much and do a Bikefest / B&B weekend every year.

We enjoy staying at bed and breakfast inns. This was an excellent one. The inn keeping staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were extensive and delicious. The whole inn looks like something out of the 1920's, but the ammenites are up to date, even if camoflaged in 1920's fixtures. We had a wonderful stay.

It's charming. The location in the heart of Widnter Garden is great. You can walk to the resturants, theater, bicycle shops , and is on the West Orange bicycling Trail. The trail goes through the center of town pass the Edgewater Inn. You can rent a bicycle at the shop next door. That is what brought us to The Edgewater Inn. We couldn't have been happier. Keep in mind this is a renovated building. But is so well done and has a lot to offer. The sandwhich shop has great sandwiches.
