“Outstanding! Worth the trip.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 December 2012

At first I thought it was a little expensive but after out visit I concluded it was well worth it. A very interesting, unusual, and fun experience. We got to see the baby cheetahs, and feeding the giraffe was wild - it almost lifted me up off the ground. It was a little cold during our visit, so many of the animals were in shelters for their safety, but our guide made sure we got to see almost the entire range of animals on the sprawling grounds. Alllow 15 minutes to get to the tour spot from the highway - it's in a beautiful, secluded area right on the St. Mary's river. Old Florida at its finest!

“One of a kind experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2012

It doesn't matter how young or old you are there is something pretty amazing about feeding a giraffe! Have YOU ever scratched the head of the endangered white rhino? Have you ever had the opportunity to speak to an Okapi caregiver? What is an Okapi you ask? Go to White Oak and find out! You won't regret it!

I went to a fund raising event. Interaction with the animals will vary depending on the event you attend. My photos are NOT typical from a day visit.

Day visits, special events, fund raisers and volunteer opportunities available. It is worth every bit of time and money invested.

“Back to nature with so many unusual animals who are extremely well-cared for.”

We felt very fortunate to have experinced this magnificent place. They are definitely giving these animals as much natural surroundings as possible and seem to be reaching out to animals who may otherwise be overlooked. We were very impressed.

“Guided tour of a beautiful place doing vital work that everyone, from child to adult, should do if they are in the area.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2012

We arrived with no expectation and weren't able to find out a lot about the place beforehand. But it was an amazing and intimate experience where we learned so much about endangered animals, the important work the center is doing and see these extraordinary animals in their (almost) natural habitat. A must see!!

“Amazing little piece of heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2010

This beautiful conservation center is tucked away down a dirt road in the middle of nowhere. It is wonderfully peaceful and tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life. A great place to relax and regroup. The animals there are well taken care of and all have enormous enclosures. These endangered species are very lucky to have such a beautiful place to call home.
